Ban Neverwinter!

This is a discussion/poll/lobby to have the test game 'neverwinter' removed from the STO server.
Since it's introduction, the STO servers have crashed much more than before, and i have seen many more complaints against the game in other locations. Any feedback I can get is awesome, so share your opinions on this 'game'.

---post above is trekie564's---

There seems to be some speculation that Neverwinter, Champions and STO are on the same "server" -- they are not. While there are shared resources between the various Cryptic games (chat server, for example) maintenance on one game does not necessarily mean that all games will undergo maintenance. Similarly, if one game goes down, it does not mean that all games will go down. All Cryptic games and services were affected for yeaterday's maintenance as we were performing work on network hardware in our data center. If all games go down, it's likely a network issue. /thread

this is not a flame, if you consider it a flame, i apologize. it is not meant as such.

LOL I almost thought you wanted it banned like illegal stuff :P

Neverwinter is a rather fun game but agreed it needs to be on a separate system to avoid any of the all 3 games down nonsense again :I

The problem isn't Neverwinter and for the record it isn't "STO's Server". The server is home to all of Cryptic's games not just STO. Not only is your post extremely ignorant, but it's also extremely rude. How dare you degrade all of the hard work the development team for Neverwinter has put into creating their game simply because the server overloaded because it's a popular game so far.

There were hardware failures that caused much of the problem and probably will continue to cause problems for a little while longer. It takes time to replace hardware and get it configured correctly, especially when you're trying to bring it back online as quickly as possible.

Cryptic will get it all resolved as soon as they can. We have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, and for all we know they had to order more parts to completely repair what went wrong or even to expand the servers.

there was a large influx of players in their beta. it happens in sto too when a big update hits sometimes. i'm sure they will adapt to the increased load and make it stable again. it's not uncommon for game companies to host all their games together, so i'm sure they won't even consider separating the games.
