Something I thought up of a few days ago, an engineering BOFF ability which focuses on shifting already existing power between subsystems rather than 'creating' power from emergency sources like the existing 'Emergency Power to X' abilities:
Divert All Subsystem X Power to Subsystem Y + Subsystem Y power cap increase to 150~
Ability duration: 10~ seconds
Cooldown: 30~ seconds
(Ideally an ensign level power but probably too powerful the way I envision it)
All power in Subsystem X is diverted to Subsystem Y causing Subsystem X to become completely disabled; All abilities tied to it become unavailable.
Subsystem Y gets a power boost directly proportional to the power level in Subsystem X; If Subsystem X has 100 power and Subsystem Y has 70 power then Subsystem Y will get a total of 170 power. Access to this extra power is provided by increasing the power level cap of Subsystem Y to 150~. Excess power greater than 150~ is available but only when power levels are being drained - weapons firing, hit by Beam Ability Target X Subsystem, Polaron proc etc.
This ability is very similar to Auxiliary to Battery but is literally All X Power to Y, where X and Y can only be either Weapons, Shields, Engines or Auxiliary ie:
All Weapons Power to Shields
All Shields Power to Weapons
All Engines Power to Auxiliary
and so on so forth, -12- possible combinations which is why ideally I would want it to be an ensign engineering ability to compliment the 5 existing ones (4 of which have overlapping cooldowns).
Has the potential for great changes to gameplay so I doubt it would be implemented exactly as above (if ever).
