well, after i finished the Beta Lankal patrol mission, my bridge officer says that he detected an unknown ship and it looks like an Iconian ship. After it scans then it warps out. Just asking if anyone else saw it.
"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
After all the hulla ballu about Iconian gates this, and Iconian gates that...the piece of technology which allowed the Iconians to pretty much take over and rule planets WITHOUT ships....
I guess they have to live somewhere, given that they got driven out of their entire empire. Maybe those ships are where the Iconians have been living all this time, waiting outside the galaxy, and using their gate technology to keep tabs on their targets.
I also saw this in the Beta Lankel system, seems to be pretty rare. I've had the Enterprise show up several times, but this is the first time I've been buzzed by the Iconians.

This character is why I don't play my Romulan any more. Tovan Khev is NOT my BFF! Get him off my bridge!
I love it when a new guy wanders onto the forums and alerts everyone to something that's been in the game for a while which everyone else knows about, and acts as if he is the first one ever to make the profound discovery.

I love it when morons wander into the forums and just have to show the rest of us just how stupid they are.

...why are there Iconian ships in STO?
They may not have necessarily needed ships, but that doesn't mean they didn't use them. And after Iconia was lost, they would have had to use them.

Because we keep blowing up their gates.
