Beam weapons firing in shorter bursts?

Have the beam weapons been tuned to fire more like in Nemesis, in shorter bursts? I think it seems great, but I thought I would ask.

    Not exactly. Translating Nemesis to STO, the Enterprise was using basically the Fire At Will power, which does somewhat translate to shorter bursts. After that, they fire pretty much as the did in the show. With the really short burst from say the Romulan D'Deridex and the Defiant being concidered cannons of various types.
