Is there a particular reason why you're making them overpowered? Some attempt to make people want to pay for them despite how hideous they are? Grant you, it's not as overpowered as Caitians, the other ugly looking paygated race. So, I guess that's Cryptic's policy?
(Okay, they might not be overpowered if they have awful selectable traits, but assuming they have the same ones as Romulans...)
By same traits, I presume you mean Romulan Operative and Subterfuge? If that, then no. They have the same 'general pool' that everyone else can get, along with the Telekinetic trait (not the ability Telekinesis), and their Mind Drain ability.
And technically you can argue that they aren't necessarily a pay race, because you can choose to earn them by getting tier 5 Romulan rep on a toon.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
Was hoping first we'd have a detailed list of all species traits that will be coming with the new trait system. Unfortunately I am not sure this is overpowered.....yet.... without being able to closely examine all other species traits.
And to tsurutafan01, may be hard for you to believe or accept, but there are people who enjoy the ground sections of this game more than space. Quite a lot of people would argue they've messed up space badly in this game and that ground has now got more appeal as it's got far less wrong with it (the running joke going is that they've turned space into escorts online). An overpowered ground character isn't going to be exactly a welcome sight. These traits make Remans very resistant to flanks, crits, expose and exploit attacks, as well as those using stealth kits - while at same time having a bonus to flank, crits, expose and exploits.
I think given their background, the Remans having enhanced ground skills makes sense. They are supposed to renowned soldiers and the traits fit. I think this could be balanced out with a smaller pool of space traits to choose from. (And yes I am rather biased in my opinions of Reman stats lol)
When I created my Reman with the standard Alien generator I went with: Soldier, Aggressive, Telekinetic, and Physical strength. While not perfect it made sense to me for a Reman. Great on the ground, and I feel I still did just fine in space.
But as you mentioned, I would also like a more comprehensive look at the traits overall.
I'm actually really excited about playing a Reman and I was excited about having an all-Reman bridge crew but the devs have apparently decided to ruin any possibility of that by forcing the Romulan Tovan character to be a part of every player's bridge crew and we cannot delete him or change him in any way
So much for my plans to role play as a ship of Reman ex-special forces officers determined to make sure Remans are never again forced to be second-class citizens in the new Romulan Empire.
I hate Tovan.

Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.
First, you did mention the obvious, they're a pay-to-win species. It's a blatant attempt to get people to buy them, who couldn't care less about what race they play, only the collection of traits they play.
Also, from DS9 and Nemesis, the Remans were credited with a number of victories over the Dominion, on the ground. That means they're either on par with, or better then the Jem'Hadar, creatures bred and trained for battle.
So concidering the lore behind them, and that they're pay-to-win, it makes perfect sense.
The ships are the same way, pay for c-store or fleet, and they're better then what the game gives you for free.
If Remans have Operative and Subterfuge Traits in addition then I would say it could be unfair in comparision to other races and traits. If they don't come with those I'd say they are quite trained as "cannon fodder"

but you are comparing them to STOs standard races, and not the other Pay-to-Win races. It's like comparing a Oddy to a Galaxy. Standard anything never going to be equal to pay-to-win anything. I've never seen a free game that did. You pay your money, you get a benefit. You don't pay, and play free, well you get what you pay for.

Hold on ... my understanding is the Remans are supposed to be free for those of us who did the Romulan reputation grind and got to level 5.
If this is indeed the case then when it comes to the Remans you get what your hard work earned ... or players can pay if they're too lazy to do all those Romulan Reputation missions.

You are correct, but in either case, Reman are either work your TRIBBLE off end of game race, or a pay for the priviledge race. Either way, they're not on par with the normal KDF or Fed races, which are download the game, and start playing them.

What Cryptic should consider before releasing anything.
