hi all
so i am back in sto after couple of months, last time played in december last year.
i wanna what is new. :)

    There's not really been anything new since December. Mostly we've been waiting for Season 8 to come out next month.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    you will have to wait few months for season 8 because in may you get an expansion not a season :p

    The main things are a new lockbox for the dominion and there was a really good episode called Temporal Ambassador around the level 30 range now (scales up) that featured Denise Crosby.

    There is also the Crystaline entity event is back. Its only here short term, then returns later so you dont have time to complete the big reward but you can still earn some dilithium, gear and a trophy.
    The may update is pretty huge and features a romulan faction and will be in open tribble testing soon, for release may 21st.

    edit - also fleet marks were scaled up, so the fleet events award a lot more than before, if you have a fleet in need of them.

    Isn't the CE event back permanently? Thought it was just the special event for it that was temporary.

    It sounds like the CE itself goes way and then comes back as a more permanent thing later but without the massive 14 day reward.

    It could stick around and just the event goes but that's not how i read it. I think they want to get people to see the whole thing as limited time and really go for it and therefore take the whole thing away before making it permanent.

    It's called 'Legacy of Romulus'. Most of the recent Dev Blogs have been about it, plus there is a teaser site about it that you have to pass through when you come here if you don't skip straight to the forums. It's also being tested on tribble now, so you can read a lot about it in the tribble section of the forum.
    My old (and now mostly obsolete) exploration suggestions thread. Give it a read. :)

    Go to the main STO website. Click the News button and then click the Archive button. You can back track all the articles about the Romulan expansion that has been released thus far. You can experience some of the upcoming content on the Tribble Test server, inlcuding the new character creator and UI.
