Searching for a fleet for a few characters - UK based

Hi,

basically my fleet is generally far too quiet. Been around since the beginning of STO, and we still have a tier 1 base...

I have three Fed characters, one of each class, and also looking to place my two unaffiliated KDF characters. Once LoR hits, I'll likely have three characters, one of each class as well, over time which I'd like to place.

I'm based in the UK, so my play times are mostly UK times. I do not play consistently all time, meaning there may be phases when I'm out of the game for a few weeks, then return for a few weeks, based on work schedule and other hobbies (gotta enjoy the sun on the motorbike while possible in the UK...)

I really rarely go for PvP, mostly it's some form of PvE instances, foundry, regular questing, hanging out, RP, etc.

I'm not interested in "1337" or "pro" fleets, I play the game for what it is, a game, and fun and enjoyment is more important to me than "pwning that nub who should l2p".

If you have a tier 5 base, fine. If not, fine too, as long as the fleet's working towards it. I don't want to end up again investing mostly by myself, which gets a tad tedious after a while...

Not a keen fan of voice chat, but can be used when required. I'm 31 years old and prefer a mature fleet.

Now that seems a bit much, and all that combined in a fleet would be ideal, but of course not everything always exists everywhere, and am open to offers etc. :)

Greetings! I happened across your posting today and thought that I would extend my hand to you, to join our fleet if you feel that it might be a good fit.

We have people in our group from the UK, US, and Australia *waves* so we have someone on pretty frequantly. It is okay if you cannot play all of the time every day, we understand that real life comes first, always, and if you have something else that you would rather be doing then by all means, go for it and have fun!

We do have one or two within our fleet that love PvP, but the majority focuse strictly on the PvE side of the game. We are also mostly casual, with one or two hardcore (though still very polite) folks thrown into the mix. We believe that this *is* a game and should be enjoyed to the fullest, it should never be something to get angry or vengeful over. As for "pwning" people... I dislike that sort of attitude. Immensely. Our fleet and community are drama free and comprised of people that are in their twenties and up through their late forties.

We are about to hit our T2 Embassy upgrade as well as our T4 base upgrade. We have no shortage of people to contribute to the projects so you will never feel as though you are working on something by yourself. We don't have a huge fleet, only about 15 - 20 or so regulars, but I believe that quality is preferable of quantity.

We have a TS3 server that some of our members use and some do not, it all depends what the person feels like. We will happily chat over our channel in game if that is what you prefer, most do.

If we sound like we might be a good fit, feel free to send a PM here or in game. My handle is @Ael and my husbands is @Kangaroo120y and either of us would be more than happy to chat with you and answer any further questions. Our modest little website is also here: http://www.imperialstrikeforce.shivtr.com/

I should be in game within another hour or two (here's that RL calling thing!) if you see this and wish to have a chat. Take care.

That sounds a lot like how I play. I pop in and out at random when it suits me.

You might consider UFP (UFPlanets.com). We have people from everywhere, so finding people to play with isn't an issue for most timezones, and quite a few of our events are scheduled for European playtimes. We're fairly laid back; the only requirement to be a member of the fleet is to just let us know you're still alive once a month, and that only takes maybe 5 minutes, so no real pressure to play hardcore.

We have groups for STFs and PVP and such, but most of us are content just to hang out, and we definitely aren't elitist. Pretty much any content has somone in the fleet who does it that you can team up with. We do have a Teamspeak server, but for most things it isn't required. About the only thing teamspeak is required for is one or two events like our weekly STF runs, but that's generally a case of teamspeak is required because teamwork is required, and even when it is required, a mic is not, just the ability to listen (we have one or two fleet leaders who never talk in teamspeak even).

We are working on Tier 5 shipyard on our main Fed fleet at the moment and just finished deciding to go for tier 5 engineering first on the KDF side, so things keep progressing. We have a couple alt fleets, and characters are split amongst them, but you can move them around as needed to get good gear.

    Greetings,

I saw you wrote RP in your post, so here we are.

5th Special Operations Division is a group of mature players who enjoy the Star Trek universe. We are, of course, RP orientated, and enjoy RPing many different scenarios with the multitude of characters we have. We also invest heavily in upgrading our facilities as well, so we are definitely working towards Tier 5 (Currently midway through Tier 3).

We have many different members from different timezones on varying schedules, so generally someone is always online willing to be social and even do a pick-up RP session.

If any of what I mentioned is of interest to you, I encourage you to take a look at our forum thread, or even our fleet website. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave a message on either page, and we will responed as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can contact @kpts4tv and @ubermatten in-game.

    Cheers, and good hunting!

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. As a result of it I have joined the Imperial Romulan Strike Force and, have to say, they seem a lovely bunch of people :D On first impressions, I recommend them to you.

Currently speaking with Jal from 5th SOD.
No one online from the Imperial Romulan fleet. Who do I poke/mail (as in, ingame name etc.)

UFP, not sure yet, the one rule of not engaging in any other guild/fleet/etc with any other character bugs me a lot...

    Hey There Hun
We don't have a lot to offer but a great group of people as basically we have been up and running for less than a couple of weeks.

However our fleet is made of guys that have come from fleets/guilds that do not enhance playtime or gametime at all, and have stood up broken, bloody but never bowed to see what we can come up with by putting our heads together, with a few pizza's and a lot of beer.

We don't have a very advanced starbase as we are so shiny new, however we have a site, forums, and voice communications of an exceedingly high standard, as well as some of the best technical, artistic and Role Play inspired people who have thrown their hat into our group endevour.

For instance our RP has been running for 18 months consistently, over six seasons before we even started this project.

What do we expect from members, that you are over 16, can handle mature banter while not sinking to be a douche, we are MUCH more interested in the preson you are than what you can do for us in game. WE are looking for friends pure and simple to enhance our gameplay experience.

There are very limited rules, don't be a douche being the only one, no activity rules, no ranks, no military or corporate organisation. Community, fun and friendship matters far more.

Want to join us and other fleets, yeah sure, we aren't that insecure that we want to tie you down. If you WANT to spend time with us thats enough for us... you play for fun, who are we to say where you play...

if you are interested check us out here, as I said we haven't started the recruitment drive yet as we are wanting all our ducks in a row.

However your post made me think that you might need a life line and I was more than happy to extend it. Even if we are not for you, please come say hello, Friends don't have to be in the same fleet either...and heck we all play MMO's and we do it to play with others...

    Hi There,

Our fleet, 3rd MACO's is a mature UK based Fleet (From Kent Myself)

We are a friendly, fleet, where almost anyone can find a useful role! We believe that by actively assisting each other we can develop the Fleet into one of the best! (Add Appropriate Disclaimer Here! Lol). You will always find somebody willing to help out whether it be with Difficult Missions or Ship/Character Building! We only ask one thing from all members and that is that they are courteous and treat everyone with the same respect that they would like themselves!

Currently we have a Tier 2 Fleet and a Tier 1 Embassy, and are actively completing projects as soon as possible!

We are able to offer a dedicated Federation Fleet Command Team, Battle Experienced Officers to Run Weekly FED Focused Events across Multiple Time Zones, a dedicated Voice Chat Server all of which work towards making a Fantastic Community Based Fleet

Let me know if you are interested in joining up K'Bol@HugeRedDog
