Why does it feel like the Mogai has been nerfed?

I fight them on the holodeck and they are powerfull ships but then i fly one and its just average.

And only 3 fore weapons slots is lame they couldve dropped a aft slot and added a fore making the mogai a powerfull ambush ship which may i add is a typical romulan attack stratagy.

so anyone else think the mogai got nerfed?

    the retrofit has 4 fore weapons doesn't it?

    it's a tier 3 ship, even the Fed ones have 3 fore at tier 3...so no it did not get nerf, since there is one at tier 5 with 4 fore.

    But still it just feels so underwhelming like it got nerfed to the junk pile looks cool but seems weak

    It's comparable to other ships of its level bracket. Just like the T5 version is with ships in that level bracket.

    There's no issue here. Want to fly a Mogai like the NPC version? Roll a Tac (for APA), get Tac Team, CRF and some tractor beam mines.

    Yep... The Tier-3 Mogai is equivalent to other Tier 3 ships, even if it is a massive ship. The Tier 5 version will be comparable to other escort-type ships.

    I wouldn't say that. Not only does it look different it feels nothing like the equivalent T3 Fed and KDF ships to use. Thanks to the RBC it also promotes a different play style, it's not great if you try to play it like a Fed escort due to the turn rate but it's pretty nasty if you use it like a huge Hegh'ta. Those Sci BOff slots also open up some nice control options that Fed escorts and KDF raptors just don't have open to them.

    It has a singulatiry core right? So it will be doing things different than either of the other factions' ships at both T3 and the retrofit at T5?

    Also, it has a battle cloak too? Making it very different from the Federation escorts?

    The Mogai Retrofit's stats look really good from what I saw posted. It's turn rate is a bit meh, but it's got some good science BOFF slots that I think will make it quite effective at that level.

    I'm torn between getting the 20 buck starter pack for the Retrofit BoP or getting the Retrofit Mogai as my end-game Romulan ship. It all hinges on what a T5 Retrofit Mogai can do. As it really does seem to be one of the best ships the Romulans will get in May. But that enhanced battle cloak on the Retro BoP is mighty enticing.
