Tovan's Trait Upgrade Idea

I only ask this because of the story I feel more connected to tovan than any other boff before in this game. However his romulan operative trait makes me feel less likely to use him in end game tossing him away for the upgarded Superior Romulan Operative trait from the boffs from embassy. Seems a kind of a waste to have the story work up friendship with Tovan only to have him be not as valuable. So I was wondering and asked dStahl above about it and he said to post on here.

Is it possible when nearing end game content to get his Romulan Operative trait upgraded so to speak?

Your first crew of BOFFs, but especially Torvan, are really special on the Romulan side, a lot more reason to feel connected to them, I certainly hope they can continue to upgrade and grow, even if it's unique to them, so they can continue to be viable throughout endgame.

With captain traits being reworked, maybe it's getting about time for BOff traits in general to get looked at. From the ground up; the traits themselves as well as how they're acquired and applied. Space traits are few and far between, we have issues with Efficient BOffs and their dissemination/acquisition. Some traits are just... ugh.

Maybe it's about time this gets addressed as a whole.

It would be great if ALL Boffs could be upgraded (even if you had to chew up another boff to get it like with rare mk III abilites)

I know the new romulan Boffs were created to be special by the story, but I have gron an attachment to my original Boffs on my other chars.
