I am right now on FED level 25. Can I play now as an Romulan?

Hi I wonder if I can now play as an Romulan Republic because I am right now on level 25 as an Federation Commander.

Or do I have to be on level 50?

    I think the intention is to be able to play Romulans right out of the box, so to speak. However, Romulan play is currently in closed beta, only a select few people actually have access for testing purposes right now. Check the patch notes for the latest version of Tribble, they'll say when Romulan play is unlocked for the general public.
    The universe has a wonderful sense of humor. The trick is learning how to take a joke.

    There is no level requirement, its just an old tooltip that'll be replaced eventually.

    As far as tribble is concerned, you can play a Romulan if you get a closed beta invite. There will be more rounds of invites sent out so keep an eye on your e-mail.
