Has cryptic mentioned if the lifetime rewards will be expanded to the romulans? Will they get rewards of their own, ie the 1000 day ship, Veteran uniform pieces etc.
topic has been brought up several times. all we know is that cryptic hasn't decided which perks the roms will get, this would include lts perks and vet perks.
You would think some of these they would have sorted out already, like vet uniform options, unless they plan on throwing something halfassed together they day before launch.

ehh, aside from lib borg romulans, most of these things would pretty much be shortly after release items anyway. right now they are just trying to get the faction finished, so a little 'fluff' shouldnt delay launch. after all, working in the vet skin (purely visual) would take extra time with every ship, vet ship would have to be carefully done to make sure all its animations are working, being the other two have visual changes. uniform is purely visual.
i'd rather they come up with a list of the vet rewards they plan on adding, ones they can add in for the may launch, and ones that they wont do.

The original intent was that Roms would use their alliance's ships and uniforms from the Vet Reward package. Based on forum feedback they are now working to see if they can get Liberated Roms into the game - but I would not expect to see a 1,000 Day Rom ship added.
It's important to understand that Cryptic doesn't just do whatever it wants. It needs to present options to CBS, which CBS then gets to decide upon. From that point it then needs to be implemented through various departments.
For example, if you listened to the recent STOked podcast you'd hear that the Romulan Faction was presented to PWE shortly after they purchased Cryptic. It will be, essentially, 2 years from the purchase date that the Roms are finally getting implemented: the PWE purchase was finalized on May 31, 2011. All that time was spent setting ground work, dealing with CBS, and implementing what they are allowed to implement.
It's easy to say you want a Liberated Borg Romulan or a Rom Vet Jacket. It's another thing to realize that it needs to be approved by CBS and then an artist/animator must spend man-hours making it - as well as making all the other things required for the new Rom Faction and the expanded KDF Faction.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Close, but there was another caveat: "in may". So even if certain LTS perks aren't available for Roms immediately they may be added later.
I'm personally hoping Lib Borg are available immediately though.
"they haven't decided" = "no, they just don't want to say it".
They said no originally. Forum feedback made them take it back and decide if it was possible by launch or not.

As much as I would love a Romulan vet ship with a Plasma Lotus I doubt we will see one since Romulans would have access to the Peghqu' and Chimera, but I really hope they can put some Liberated Romulans into the game for launch!

Did no one listen to the latest thingy with Stahl. They asked him if liberated rommies would be available on launch and he said as far as he knew they would be.
As far as I know I am the coolest person on the planet. Ever.

The actual quote was: "I could be wrong but last I heard, yes."

Romulan Republic players with the lifetime get access to Romulan Liberated borg *and* hybrids for species options (hybrids are also available to gold). Remans were also mentioned in the most recent interview as falling into this category, which would seem to contradict them being tied to the rep system- but I think they were just sayign that lifetime would get them pre-unlocked by default. SO lifetime get four species at launch available, two of which are unavailable to FTP.
So yes, Romulans have expanded lifetime content, mroeso than KDF or FED. (although I question them making half of the species pay-to-play only).
As for the rest of that sort of content, such as android Boffs and the vet ship, I imagine they are determined by their ally. If I recall correctly Romulans do not have access to a romulan timeship (as handy as that would be to avert the destruction of Romulus) and instead use the one of their ally. I would expect that most of the content aside fro mthe playable species to follow that example.

Plasma Lotus: WANT! WANT! WANT!
Lib Borg seem like something relatively easy in comparison though.
If we do get Lib. Borg Romulans (and we should), I would go as far as to say that they should have green laser pointers, just because. Hell, we should be able to colour our laser pointers, red, blue, green, yellow

Green laser light would be cool, especially since Donatra has a green laser.

You know, I have one simple request. And that is to have Romulans with frickin' laser beams attached to their heads! Now evidently my crypcloptic colleague informs me that that cannot be done. Ah, would you remind me what I pay you people for, honestly? Throw me a bone here! What do we have? :P

I'm looking forward to the list of perks that will/won't be granted. Every extra is welcome.
