How can I be a Captain if I can't track what my crew is doing/not doing?

Doff usage tracking ... Where is it?

Cryptic allows us to have up to 400 Doffs, but no way to determine how they are performing?

Come on ... How am I suppose to be a Captain if I can't manage my crew and their productivity?

I'd like to see a tracking number somewhere on the Doff's bio page counting their mission usage. Let us know who's been sitting on their TRIBBLE$ doing nothing vs who's been constantly deployed.

I'd like to know what the Devs do. Do they just wallow in the ignorance of not knowing which Doffs are worth their salt, or do they have some backend report that identifies which Doffs need to be airlocked?

Bottom line, I'm hoping in the near future I'll have what I think should be an obvious ability to review my Doff's productivity. If they ain't being used, they need to go. Managing my 200 Doffs by handwritten notes is a pita and not a reasonable expectation for a player to make. I'll never have 400 Doffs if I can't tell what this 200 are doing.

Anyone else struggle with this?

    +1.

I agree. I only have 125 slots on my main toon, but it's still hard to track. I use excell, but I either tabbed out of the game or took screenshots of my DOFF UI. I'd love to be able to easily tell who the slackers are.

The same question came up a year ago when Heretic was still in charge of doffing:

    Question:
How about doff stats? Have a record on our duty officers of their number of assignments completed, crits, fails, times in sickbay. That sorta stuff. The doff system really strikes me as Star Trek Officer Manager Pro 2012 so time to make with the stats!
    Answer:
Duty officer stats would be awesome, but unfortunately the database requirements have been determined to make this unfeasible.

I've been able to keep track via email.

I've only been playing a few months. I have a few alts. Originally I had planned on buying the DOFF size increase. But as I learned about stuff they fix and things they don't, I decided to put off that purchase. This turned out to be a very beneficial decision in hindsight.

As my white doffs became green, and I approached the 100 cap, I had to decide who was worth keeping on the ship and who got emailed. This helped me learn the system and prioritize which assignments I wanted to be completed.

Now my rosters are blue/purple for my everyday missions. When I'm rewarded with a new purple, they are either:

    1. Valuable; Yes! purple security officer
    2. Maybe ; Well Tractor Beam officer was needed for 1 chain...
    3. Grind down; Another science officer :(

When my target assignments pops up I grab them from my email and have them do the assignment. This is especially beneficial since I have a few alts, i.e. Build Console assignment pops up on alt 1, Build Mines pops up on alt 2.

Its not ideal. The Fed/Rom KDF/Rom isn't ideal, but this is what they have given us to work with.
