I'm not in the "MUST HAVE T5 CONNIE" camp, but I mean really? If I can have a D7 T5 fleet ship at end game, and I can have a T5 TOS style Rom BoP at end game, then why can I not have a T5 fleet Exeter at end game? If we have to talk to CBS about this, then I say we do so, since Cryptic apparently won't or can't get the message across.

Thanks for pulling out the soundbites though, very nice.

Will the Romulans get a cloaking carrier or flight deck cruiser?

Good. I expected something like this. If the T5 Mogai is any good I will certainly buy one.
Another reason to go KDF ... not that I ever considered joining the Feds with my upcoming Romulan anyway
*sigh*
They better hurry up with this.
How is this going to work? Ally with a high tier fleet and get access to all their unlocked stores?
They better drop this idea NOW. If this ever gets implemented there will be no reason to play anything but Feds.
Well, given the trend of C-store ships of late to have some kind of combat pet ability, I'm sure it will have at least one hangar bay. I should probably elaborate -- I'm hoping for something more akin to the Armitage-class, compared to the Atrox or Vo'quv. My dream ship here is agile, escort-level hull and shields with a focus on mobility and cloak for survival, three fore and three aft weapons with no dual cannons, two hangar bays. Give it a "fire on my mark" or "sensor analysis" like ability for buffing combat pet damage against your selected target, a 2/3/5 console allotment, and a Lt. tactical slot, Lt. and ensign engineering slots, and Lt. Cmdr. and Cmdr. science slots.

I cannot wait for May to come.
Btw: I've read or listened to pretty much all the dev interviews that were conducted during the last 14 months, and my experience honed spidey senses let me interpret Dan's response to the T5 connie thing as "Yes, it will finally come".
"I think our lives just became a lot more complicated" Jean-Luc Picard:)
As a hearing impaired player I'd like to thank you for providing a bit of a summary of the interview. It always frustrates me when content is released in a format that I cannot utilize... at least until I remember that I can usually rely on the community to extend a helping hand.
This is currently possible if someone invites you to their starbase. You use your resources, but have access to their unlocks. The only exception being ships.

im pretty sure those bops from ent were actually from the future, but the enterprise crew wouldn't have known. there should be some rom faction mission were you go back in time and brow beat the NX-01 till it withdraws. the ent bop in game suddenly makes sense!
The issue is that we don't know what programming is involved to increase the number past 500. While it might be simple from our perspective it could be a major pain from theirs.
Excluding the 2800. My understanding is more of the story missions (haven't done any of them yet) deal with the True Way. While this make sense from the Federation side, as They as suppose to be defending Cardassian space, I don't see the Klingon Empire caring about it one bit.
Even Mar'tok, who was pretty liberal as Klingons go, was not a fan of the Cardassians, and even told Sisko that the Klingons would not mourn the loss of all the Cardassians after the Dominion nuked Cardassia Prime.
I see the KDF more as a "Hey if the Cardassians want to kill each other off, let em. Less for us to worry about"
This is quite neat indeed.
I kind of prefer this, in a sense, to the alternative. I'd rather have less ships that stick closer to canon than Cryptic having to cook up like 30 new ships because "that other faction has a lot of ships and NUMBERS EQUAL WINNING". So thumbs up.

I think that would be tragic balancewise. It amazes me how cheap writing and production have kept an aged klingon design alive through 150+ years of ST canon, then between whining fedbears ,cryptics lack of imagination and CBS's greed will parlay another ancient and outdated starship back into canon relevancy, forgetting a T5 ship will likely overpower the ships designed to replace her.
I'm at a loss as to what depresses me more, reading these forums or clinging to a childhood memory of a Star trek that used to make sense.
