Cryptic needs to decide what scale it wants to use; the old TNG-Voyger scale where warp 10 couldn't be reached; or the alternate future adjusted warp scale where warp speeds of 13 could be achieved.
If they want to stick to the old warp scale, no ship using conventional warp engines should be reaching higher than warp 9.995
Actually you don't see Warp 10 in the game. In game, and is has been for several months, there is no Warp 10. Go to max speed ingame, hover your mouse above the speedscale and see its description switching from Warp to Transwarp after Warp 9.
I am starting to get tired of so much griding for nothing and basically many mmo's are following this way also.
I'm confused.
Do the adapted maco engines have the asynchronous warp field mod? If they do, is it just not applying properly? If they don't, did you even bother to read the tooltip before blindly throwing resources into it?

M.A.C.O. and the Adapted KHG engines have that. Adapted M.A.C.O., KHG and Omega Force engines can't go faster than warp 10.
i think the op is just annoyed because the regular maco engine was dam fast, but the adapted one is totally different. pretty much the same thing with me, i just saw the capacity and started drooling. i just bought it, thinking it would be the same in every other way. but then i was like, wait, why is everyone blowing past me??? no matter though, i just keep my trusty borg engine at the ready.
however i am definitely of the belief that no engine should travel faster than warp 9.99 or so, because warp 10 is infinite speed, and thats just impossible.
I'd rather not spend my limited playtime waiting to get to my destination or travelling.
Then Cryptic has added these handy features known as Transwarp locations, Transwarp hubs at Starbases, transwarp coils in the Dilithium store, Quantum Slipstream, and the ability to transwarp directly to mission locations from your mission journal for energy credits.

Oh and warp speeds are going up by 20-30% anyways. There won't be a change to the display, but the actual speed you move will be going up.
