System for converting Marks into Dil is terrible

The system for converting Marks and BNPs is terrible.

50 at a time, which takes 15 seconds?

I want to turn in my marks for dil as I'm running low, but I figured out it'll take me 35 minutes to convert them all and that's not including the few seconds it takes to click "collect reward" then put new marks in, fill up the slider and press ok. We're looking at a 40 minute job minimum here and that's just pretty stupid.

The old system where you bought dilithium containers was solid - you could position the window where the popup would be and mash the "buy" button to get it, it worked and it was easy.

Can't you bring back dilithium containers into the "Store" situation of the reuptations? It wouldn't be hard to do and it would save us a lot of time when trying to convert stuff.

Thoughts?

See right there you hit the nail on the head why they won't bring it back. STO has turned into dil and mark grind online, where your entire purpose in life is to grind the hell out of everything in order to get a substandard amount on dil or marks in order to put them towards super inflated costs.

Anything that goes against this grind and time sink is bad. Since their philosophy is any time sink is a good time sink, you will never see them in the stores again. Just be glad it's only 40 minutes for you. I'm surprised they didn't make it a minute and a half like most of the other simple things in the marks sections.

Can I ask how many marks you have to make it a 40 minute job minimum?

I thought this system was fast.

    (Though not instant)
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

I for one like it how it is, easy to convert. . . NO mistakes etc. . . So leave it be

I agree, having to load the project, load the marks, wait 15 second, and repeat is getting quite old. Can't we just have a simple store unlock where we buy dilithium ore with marks? That would be very easy to implement and it would save players a lot of time. It would also remove the concern about players earning too much XP too fast.

I personally think it should be just two donation sliders where you can donate up to the maximum you have and it converts it instantly for you just like when your earning your fleet credits from donations. They could still do it in increments of 5 (BNP) and 50 (OM). Just would be more efficient in my eyes to do it that way and save time. There is people in my fleet with over 200 BNPs and 2-3k OMs, so I'm sure they'd appreciate this change.

8,000 marks would take 40 minutes. Then 10 days to refine the dil from it :D.

But converting just 8,000 dil to hit the refining cap takes 4 minutes minimum. It is kind of slow. And you can't do anything else in that time because you have to keep resetting the project every 15 seconds.

The projects would be fine if there was option to convert more at once. At least the 400 you get from epohh sale. One two-minute project would be much better than eight 15-second ones.

yeah i don't like this or the other system where you can turn in borg neuroprocessors for dilithium, i'd much rather turn those in for straight rep.

4 minutes a day to hit your dilithium cap, how terrible.

indeed OP it is a bad system. on paper it might say 15 seconds, but in reality it is more (30 I would say is a usual time if you dedicate yourself to it).
what would help if you could preload the next of the queue, so the moment you click the collect reward button the next timer would start.

or just give Roxy back her old job, and make DS9 more than just a useful converging points for my alt characters to grind dil from the minefield and grind good doff missions for contraband there :D
