KDF FLEET
NOW WITH TIER 5 SHIPYARD AND FULL TIER 3 DILITHIUM MINE

.... AND ...

WE'RE RECRUITING!!!!

ROMULANS WELCOME IN OUR KDF & FED FLEETS!!!

Our Fleet? ... Small, Casual and Creative.
ROMULANS WELCOME IN OUR KDF & FED FLEETS!!!

Who Are We?

Built on respect, we're a small, casual group with a rather creative heart ? one family spread across two fleets ... one KDF (Fleet Level 14) and one Fed (Fleet Level 12).

  • A shared in-game private chat channel keeps us in contact with one another.
  • A teamspeak server, although it tends to be a quiet place. Many of our players prefer chatting in game, saving voice comms for the coordinated operations ... or for when that socialization bug hits.

Many among us are more "lone wolves."

  • Players who enjoy chatting as they play, but primarily run solo.
  • Players who on occasion come together in twos and threes to team up for STF, Fleet Mark or PvP runs.

Small but dedicated ... We're still getting the job done.

  • FED Starbase: Tier III headed to Tier IV.
  • FED Embassy: Currently Upgrading to Tier II
  • FED Dilithium Mine: Tier II
  • KDF Starbase: Tier IV with Tier V shipyard
  • KDF Embassy: Tier II
  • FED Dilithium Mine: Tier III

So, if you're looking for a friendly place where you can kick your feet up by the roaring fire without all the drama ... We might be just what you're wanting.

Also Welcome ... Those Who Love a Good Story!

Many of us love a good story and have over active imaginations ? so why not take it to the next level.

As such, some of us (completely optional) have elected to:

  • Talk about our characters like they have real stories.
  • Have elaborate character bios drafted.
  • Actually write stories and log entries about our characters using a fleet supplied personal blog and fleet forums.
  • Share the same fictional universe.

For more information or to join our fleet, just visit http://alliancecencom.com and let us know!

Just a heads-up that we are putting in some plans for some fleet operations, gatherings and things to do.

Among them is a massive run at the Battle of Hell's Keep and the KDF equiv.

What are some other things YOU would like to see? ... Anyone know of some awesome Foundry missions that would make for great team play???? ... Any fleet actions you are dying to do as a team???

Scene: A Restaurant on New Romulus

"What do you think of the rumors that the Iconians might be returning?" asked Jarmon Sollace.

Gen. Hauk leaned back in the chair. He cast an eye at the design engineer who now served as president and CEO of Qur'Dra Spaceframe Industries.

Life long friends, they sat together at a table outside of a makeshift eating and drinking establishment on New Romulus.

"We've both heard those same rumors and seen a few things," said Hauk, "but if I had not seen those recordings down in the underground ruins for myself ..."

He sighed a moment and took a sip of his ale before continuing.

"The last thing we all need is yet another enemy hounding us all and knowing our luck ... that's exactly what we'll get."

"Aye, another enemy to fight and harass us while the powers that be still wage war against each other," Jarmon added.

"The Empire and Federation both are fools to not see the real threats around them."

"Stubborn more like," responded Jarmon. "And as foolish as wee babes lost in the forest. Tell me, is the chancellor any close to seeing reason?"

"No closer than those admirals over at Starfleet command. We are just lucky that at least they agreed to the Task Force Omega initiative and opened the door to the creation of the Alliance."

The native Scotsman took a sip of his own Romulan brew before responding.

"Aye, that it did. Meh sons both claim that life fer them is good with both thankful to be fighting with the Klingons instead of uselessly against them."

"My own son, Tlhoreon, still finds it to a bit strange that he is able to beam aboard Earth Space Dock even though technically the Klingon Empire remains at war with the Federation ... thankful to be fighting the real enemies out there but thankful none the less."

Jarmon kicked back his own chair, leaning enough that it rested simply on its aft legs.

"I see the lass we've been waitin' fer now." He motioned towards the establishment's entrance with his mug.

Aelis S'tariennye lh'Rheu approached the table with a grace that reflected her years, wisdom ... and inner strength.

Hauk eyed the Romulan admiral's approach with a half cocked smile.

Here was a lady who had bested his father on the field of battle.

Hauk held no ill will for the death as it had been one born from combat -- a death worthy of entrance into Sto'Vo'Kor.

Here also was a woman who Hauk himself had tangled with in more ways that one and ...

"So Hauk, how our daughter, Arrhae, these days?" asked Aelis. "I hope she continues to serve your noble house well and brings honor to both our families."

    Respectfully,

    --- Gen. Hauk

This story is one I plan to kick around for a while. It sets a couple of stages for various story lines, prepares for an important conversation as well as introduces my future Romulan character.

Aelis S'tariennye lh'Rheu approached the table with a grace that reflected her years, wisdom ? and inner strength.

Hauk eyed the Romulan admiral's approach with a half cocked smile.

Here was a lady who had bested his father on the field of battle. Hauk held no ill will for the death as it had been one born from combat ? a death worthy of entrance into Sto'Vo'Kor.

Here also was a woman who Hauk himself had tangled with in more ways that one and whose ?

"So Hauk, how our daughter, Arrhae, these days?" asked Aelis. "I hope she continues to serve your noble house well and brings honor to both our families."

    <<and now>>

    Jarmon Sollace spewed his ale.

    "Daughter?" he sputtered.

Hauk offered up a knowing grin as those who knew him also knew how dedicated he was to his wife, Sal.

"Arrhae's father died while she was still young," the Klingon explained. "I adopted her formally into my family's house ... with her mother's permission, of course."

Aelis took a chair between the two.

"I admit it took some convincing," she said. "After all, my daughter wanting to join a Klingon house ... even one as noble as the House of Rha???"

The Romulan Admiral signaled to the waiter the universal sign that ...regardless of culture ... meant 'I'll have what they're having.'

She turned back to the others, smiling thinly.

"If this were even a few decades ago, it never would have happened, but we live in different times."

Aelis accepted the mug offered by the server and offered up a quick word of thanks before continuing.

"Besides, I like the General, here ... even if he is a touch too formal at times."

"Formal?" Jarmon laughed briefly. "Yee have nah seen him when he's been deep in the bloodshine, have yee?"

    "Bloodshine?" asked Aelis.

"t's a concoction my crew developed that is a blend of a Terran alcohol called moonshine and Klingon Bloodwine," explained Hauk. "It is ... a strong beverage."

Jarmon laughed again. "Ask his Ferasan first officer aboard the I.K.S. Qu'In 'an bortaS to send yee the holo-recordings of his ... shall we say ... performance."

One of the Romulan's eyebrows arched skyward. "Performance? ... Was he singing on tables again?"

"Let us say that it was a rather interesting rendition of Shakespeare," Jarmon said with a grin.

Hauk coughed, worked to quickly change the subject.

"Shall we get down to business?" he asked Aelis.

    Respectfully,

    Continuing to advance the storyline.

And for those curious, the bloodshine and Hauk's performance of Shakespeare refer to the Gates of Sto'Vo'Kor episode ? ?Hamlet and Bloodshine.?

    A message to Romulans ...

Do not feel that you have to side with either the Federation or the Klingons directly in their armed conflict with one another.

After all ... Our true enemies are out there among the stars in the form of somethings as the Borg, Undine, Tholians and yes ... even the Iconians.

To continue to fight a petty war between the Federation and Klingon Empire is ... there are no words to do it justice.

The Alliance Central Command opens its doors to the Romulans of the Romulan Republic who wish to join us in this fight. We have starbases on both the Federation and Klingon sides of the neutral zone where you can choose to quarter your ship and crew during the storms of a chaotic universe.

All you have to do is to let us know of your interest in doing so.

"Shall we get down to business?" he asked Aelis.

    <<and now>>

    "We shall," answered Aelis.

She cupped her fingers around her mug.

"So, you propose that the Romulan Republic participate in this Alliance of yours?" she asked, already knowing the answer.

But it was a place to begin and all things needed a beginning.

"Its an alternative," Hauk said simply.

"An alternative?" responded the Romulan admiral. "An alternative to what?"

"An alternative to being recruited by the forces of either the Federation or Klingons and then fighting at their side as they fight one another," Hauk answered.

"Another alternative might be to sit out their war, not take sides in their conflict and simply keep our attention focused on stabilizing the Romulan Republic," Aelis countered.

"You're problem with that lass is that there are already signs that Romulan captains are already planning to split loyalties and flock to either of those two banners ... and help them fight their petty war," noted Jarmon.

The Scotsman punctuated the last of his statement by raising his mug as if in toast to the truth of his words.

"Fools ... and I mean all those who actively participate in this honorless war between the Federation and Klingons," scoffed Hauk. "The time is now to stand against the common threats or risk being crushed beneath the boot heels of enemies."

The Romulan admiral crossed her arms, eyes Hauk.

"And so what are you proposing, General?" she asked. "Tell me exactly how I or others from the Romulan republic factor into this alliance of yours? ... Or will we simply trade one boot heel for another?"

    <<and now>>

"You would enter the Alliance as equals," Hauk stated simply. "And ... You would be protecting your people in the process."

"How can your people ... or any actually ... stand safe when there are so many REAL enemies out there?" he asked, continuing. "The Borg, the Undine, the True Way, the Tholians, the Tal Shiar ... and you know as well as I do that the Iconians may just be on the horizon. Tell me how will we survive these foes nipping at us from so many directions if we do not stand together?"

Aelis leaned back in her chair and cupped the mug containing her ale.

"What makes you think the powers will allow this Alliance of yours to continue operations," she asked, "shall we say ... uninterrupted?"

    "Treaty," Hauk answered.

"Treaties can be broken," she returned quickly.

"Yes, but the fact that we are concentrated in and around the Cordra Expanse gives us a measure insulation and protection," Hauk returned.

"Admiral, isn't it true that yee Romulans have a few of your own colony worlds tucked away inside that Expanse?" Jarmon asked.

"We do," Aelis confirmed. "In fact, I was born on one of those worlds as was my daughter."

"Then you are definitely aware that those worlds were rather quick to sign the Cordra Accords designating the Expanse as neutral territory, paving a safe haven for our Alliance then?" asked Hauk.

"Yes," the Romulan responded, "and I'm not arguing that. ... What I want to know is what exactly will those forces who may or may not join you from our side get from this arrangement? How will we be treated? What status will we hold? .. Why should we even consider it?"

    <<and now>>

"They would be equal to any other member of the Alliance with the same rights, responsibilities and level of access to fleet resources," answered Hauk.

"And as to why to consider it," he said, "It would allow you the chance to protect the Romulan Republic and gain access to better resources WITHOUT having to take sides in the Federation-Klingon War."

"And what reassurances that you will not go back on your word?" asked Aelis, one eyebrow raised.

"Signed treaty with terms outlined and the honor on which we all stand," the Klingon firmly responded. "You have my word."

"Lass, yee know as well as I than when the General here gives his word on somethin' ... He means it," said Jarmon.

"Oh, I have no doubt of our friend's honor or word." Aelis crossed her arms, leaned back in her chair. "It's the Federation and Klingon Empire I question."

"Then don't consider us as either," said Hauk. "And technically its spelled out in the Cordra Accords which both signed ... We are independent ... neutral ... we are the Alliance ... plain and simple."

With a thunk, all four legs of Aelis' chair hit the floor as she straightened.

"Then let us order our meal, offer up a toast to this Alliance," said the Romulan Admiral, a smile on her face. "Then lets discuss what ship might serve me well within this Alliance of yours."

"Alliance of 'ours,'" corrected Hauk, already raising his mug. "To the Alliance Central Command!"

If there is one thing that I and others love about the game, its that we can play characters that until now have only existed in our imaginations and written stories.

What few do not know is that the central core group that start Alliance Central Command can trace our origins back to a group that has been around for over 20 years ... alt-starfleet-rpg.

From their website ... "Welcome to ASR, or simply "STAR FLEET"- a PBEM interactive role-play game made up around 100 writers spread across 18 units assigned to one of three distinct timelines. The ASR universe- the PRIME universe, as we call it- was created in 1991, and is set in a time period around 40 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, in the Earth calendar year 2424."

Their stories all exist in a shared fictional universe where the player who writes the story weaves their stories into the overall fabric of the whole thing.

Now, we split off from them and created a group much like them called Star Trek: Frontiers which continued writing for several years under that umbrella ... and then came Star Trek Online.

For those like me, it was a chance to take the characters we have been writing for 20 years and reboot them into an "alterate" universe, not unlike what JJ did.

You see, 2409 was a time when for many of us ... our characters existed and advanced forward from. So we rewound them and began again with our stories still working together in a shared universe.

Yes, not all our players write ... but some of us do.

We created Alliance Central Command to exist as casual fleet where players co-exist and play the game respectfully side by side.

Some of us are solo players. Others like to group up and enjoy team play. Then we have a few who are into radio drama and podcasting with others of us loving to write.

What connects us all is that we enjoy the Star Trek Online universe and enjoy existing within it together.

We are the Alliance Central Command. ... We stand together and fight with honor!

Ok ... Let's look at the game of Rock-Paper-Scissors-Lizard-Spock and figure out a ROMULAN version of this game!

    Current rules of are:
    • Scissors cut Paper
    • Paper covers Rock
    • Rock crushes Lizard
    • Lizard poisons Spock
    • Spock smashes (or melts) scissors
    • Scissors decapitate lizard
    • Lizard eats paper
    • Paper disproves Spock
    • Spock vaporizes rock
    • Rock breaks scissors
What would you change to make it Romulan? How would you change it overall?

For those of us within the Alliance, the Federation-Klingon War is a side note.

The true enemies are out there.

For us to continue this fighting is to pave the path of victory for

those like the Borg, the Undine, the Terran Empire, the True Way and all the others who are among our shared enemies.

So it is that we stand together and fight with honor -- Federation and Klingon forces alike.

Together we form the Alliance Central Command ... brothers in arms.

But a note to those out there who would fire on us. ... We might not fire first, but we will defend ourselves.

Qapla'! ... Glory and Honor to the Alliance!

If you are interested in taking the fight to the real enemy ... and enjoy living a good story ... point your browser to http://alliancecencom.com, register on our fleet forums and tell us of your interest in.

Our fleet leadership is currently in the process of fine-tuning our fleet mission statement and description to better reflect who we are.

We want new players joining us to do so because we are where they are going to be happy with no regrets later on.

Already, our description has been updated on Page 1 to better reflect us ... keep in mind, however, that it is a work in progress with wording likely to be tweaked a bit.

    The Story of Maikell tr'Rheu

    by Pathfinder

I am Maikell ir-Rahvan tr'Rheu ... Romulan by birth but made Borg by curse of the fates.

The last free thought I had was on the bridge of the starship upon which I rode, commanding a fleet that stood in defense of one of the Romulan Star Empire's outermost planets.

Our best defense proved as ineffective as if a child's pop gun were fired at the hull of a great and powerful warship.

Needless to say, we were ineffective against this unknown threat and could only watch helplessly as cube shaped vessels captured our ships and cut them apart one by one.

I still remember the screams as cries of terror that echoed across the bridge via the open comm channels.

Yet even knowing the darkness was coming for us was of no help, only deepened the terrors.

"We are the Borg," they said coldly, mechanically. "Resistance is futile ... Your distinctiveness will be added to our own."

My last thoughts were of my wife and our three children ... the youngest two of which were twins I have yet to lay eyes upon.

That was almost 50 years ago.

Since that time, I have felt as if trapped within a dream from which I could not awake.

The things I have seen and witnessed and saw myself do are ? Let me just say that I wish simply that I could forget.

However, one day everything changed ... on a day when a race I had never met unleashed a weapon aimed at the Borg cube upon which I existed as a drone designated 41 of 47.

On that day, we were freed from the collective ... casting off the shackles the Borg had used to surpress our individual and passionate natures.

One of my first awakening memories was the Drone next to me letting lose a scream of agony and triumph ... and fear and freedom all at the same time. I watched as the freed Klingon warrior ripped the metallic Borg ocular implant free of his own eye socket.

I personally could not keep from weeping as at long last I was free.

Together .. he and I ... Romulan and Klingon fought our way past confused drones and made our way to the outer hull and ultimately to freedom.

We were collected by a Starfleet vessel and taken to a treatment facility where we have remained for some time ... undergoing therapy to make sure we are free of the Borg's implants and recovering.

My companion, Rha of the Klingon House of Rha, left today to return home and find what has become of his family.

My own return home is delayed slightly as doctors tell me I have a few weeks left before I also can return to my family.

My question ... What remains of my old life these almost 50 years later?

    JFC LOG -- Stardate: 90926.35

It seems that while I have been away, my wife has chosen to play.

I received a communication from her today. She informed me that not only has our daughter successfully graduated from the Imperal Academy, but my wife awarded her command of one of the ships belonging to our house, the House of Rha.

Honestly, I'm very proud of my daughter, Lursana --- bursting at the seams proud.

But to place her in command of a cruiser? ... I admit I would have placed her aboard one of our ships as a first offcer, however, my Sa'LeI swears that I am simply over protective of our child.

My wife is quick to point out that Lursana has the blood of Rha flowing through her veins ... my blood ... which makes her an honorable warrior capable of handling herself.

And it would seem that ... yet again ... my wife would be correct.

Our daughter, Capt. Lursana, has already proven herself in combat.

She participated in a battle against the True Way, boarded their command ship ... and has brought it home as a captured prize.

Although my daughter was given one of the older cruisers within our fleet, I believe should she continue to prove as successful ... we will have to give her one of the new fleet ships currently under construction.

Glory to my daughter! Glory to our family! Glory to the House of Rha!

    Qapla' !!!

Our Federation-side fleet's Tier 3 industrial fabricator is currently just a few days from finishing with the project timer and spitting out fleet weapons for us.

Our KDF Tier IV fleet upgrade project is filling with resources fast and not far from being sent to timer.

    Scene: Commander's Quarters, R.R.W. Taen v'Latas

The flames burned. The screams of the victims echoed deep into the night.

Every night, Maikel would wake in a cold sweat, remembering what it was like to be Borg.

Thankfully, he was freed with the single stroke of a Tobarri crafted neurolytic warhead -- a controversial device designed to liberate entire Borg ships with a single volley.

Controversial because the majority of those "liberated" failed to survive the process, unable to accept fates left them by the elements.

Maikel considered himself lucky to have faced liberation and survived.

It meant he was given the chance to return to his family, to hold his wife once more ? and to meet his children who were now grown.

It was his chance to again serve his people, helping them with a cause better than when he had been taken slightly less than 50 years previous.

This was his chance at Mnhei'sahe ... a complex concept which rules most of Rihannsu (or Romulan) life in terms of honor.

Each night's horrifying dreams reminded Maikel ir-Rahvan tr'Triheu strongly of Mnhei'sahe ? and how he would spend the rest of his life fighting the Borg if necessary.

For this reason, the former flag officer of the Romulan Star Empire willingly accepted high rank in the navy of the Romulan Republic ? as well as would willingly join the fight as part of the Alliance Central Command.

    Respectfully,

    VAdm. Maikel tr'Triheu
