Continuum Lockbox: Pay2Win?

I'm afraid with the rumors flying around about the Q Continuum Lockbox that this game is going to go completely p2w, what do you guys think?

The only item I am excited for is the Plasmonic Leech / Antimatter Spread console pack and the civil war era purple doffs!

The ships seem weird. I know Q don't use ships, so these are just some of their favorites or whatever, but it just doesn't seem to have much of a theme.

What have you heard about the rumors for the next lockbox?

    There's already an AMS pack, so it won't be a leech/AMS pack. It will be some other console.

    My bad. Looking at some of the rumour threads, other people are saying Plasmonic Leech / Tachyon Detection Field, which seems pretty lame.

    What would be the difference anyway? Somebody with full rep gear and a couple of lockbox consoles is basically unkillable by anybody who is using Mk XII store-bought parts (exceptions for players with way more experience ofc)

    I don't mind pay to win, it makes rich people invest a lot of money in game.
    Let us wear Swimsuits on Foundry maps or bridges please! I would pay zen for that.

    plus how do you know it was him?

    theres 2 million players in STO, it is a 1 in 2,000,000 chance it was him.

    thats less of a chance than getting a lock box ship....

    There used to be 12 million back when the game launched. My how the sub numbers have fallen.

    Such a waste of a good IP. And now Q ships are going to save the day? Q never saved the day before. Why start now?

    Because it doesn't take a genius to see the similarity of the OP's forum name and @Originman in game... :rolleyes: Next time, choose more wisely just who you're defending, etc.

    I call shenanigans. At least until they finally add some lockbox EPS Flow Regulators. Because right now the best players in the game are equipping them and facerolling the competition. Easy peasy.

    really i thought it was 2million captins. i have 12 toons my self im sure alot of people have more than one captin

    pay to win = if you don't pay you play just a demo version and your role in the game will be only for decoration

    I can do very well with a simple patrol escort, thank you very much. Its no Kumari, but its fine enough.

    Q items being trustworthy, there's a concept. I think I would put more trust in someone selling me a grenade with the pin pulled than anything I would get from Q, he might be amused by the results but I doubt I would be.
    If something is not broken, don't fix it, if it is broken, don't leave it broken.
