Will Romulans be able to access Federation and Klingon space?

I have just found out about the new Romulan faction coming in May (finally), and i was wondering if Romulan players will be able to access core sectors (Sol, Qonos) maybe the ships could have a cloaking device that could be activated while in warp?

it depends on if they will have missions in those sectors most likely. but i doubt you can get to sol or qo'nos off the bat as a romulan unless they design it so that the new faction is allied to both feds and KDF so that they can go through their space without need for a marauding/diplomacy type thing.

heh, some loophole will be needed if they are to be allowed to get to ds9 & dominion space

unless they are going to be getting faction specific hirogen content to offset that.

eh... not necessarily. they could add in a sector block or two to get around that. one right to the elft of alpha centauri and right above beta Ursa would fix that.

I am more concerned with feds and Klingons getting access to the Romulan Homeworld. the two likely candidates for the main social zone (Raptor III or New Romulus) are both excessible (and necessary) to Fed players at least, Not sure on Raptor and the KDF.

This isn't needed, they can reach it the same way that Klingons did. Head south to Eta Eridani, west to Orellius, south to Beta Ursae.

Ever since they opened Klingons up to more than two sectors, the only sectors marked off limits are the ones containing the faction home worlds, and with the Orellius shortcut Sirius doesn't block Cardassian space. The better question is if everyone else will need DI/RP to access the Romulan home sector, unless the Republic leaves Rator III to Sela and establishes a new capital in the "east" or "north" parts of the empire that aren't in game currently, there'll be problems blocking off any of their current sectors.

That's the primary reason why they should restrict Romulan access to just two sectors. At least for the first year or two. To simulate the full Cryptic experience.

Quick correction, it's Rator III not Raptor III.

I'm betting they'll be able to access the Federation and Klingon space.
But only through a DOFF grind in some kind of section as 'subterfuge.'

There is a transwarp gate right next to New Romulus.

Since there will be a new sector added to the Galactic map with the Expansion, I'd wager that sector to be the new Romulan starting area with the new Romulan Republic Capital.
