    Literally every other energy type's proc will give you a better way of doing damage; -DmgRes, lowering Engine/Shield power, shredding shields, shutting shields down, etc.


    Try backing that up with some facts. Really. That would be fun to see.

    CritDx3 weaps are the best and u can use TB or target engines etc to drop ones bonus defense.

    Sadly, this is mostly correct. Especially in the situation he/she describes with robbing the targets bonus defense.

    Generally speaking most players with the knowledge of how that works have also (perhaps unwittingly) stacked enough Crit Hit on other aspects of their ship that Crit D on the weapons is the surefire way to get the highest burst/spike/instant damage.

    It's a math thing.

    Oh and if you're not concerned with burst damage in a tac ship and your more interested in procs you just go ahead and shine on you crazy diamonds! I mean if you haven't learned yet the less a tac ship shoots the better by this late stage of the games history there's not much we can do for you. So rock those phazors ladies!!
