I just saw this spoilerish Star Trek: Into Darkness photo today and while it is obviously too small to be a starship or shuttle, I thought to myself "This would make a good looking shuttle".

Can we have some variant of this in-game as a 2409-era shuttle? Pretty please?

    Looks like a probe or a new type of photon torpedo. I guessing a probe.

    Anything from the JJ universe is off limits to Star Trek Online. So this shuttle is off limits to us unless they create a Star Trek MMO based on the JJ universe.

    Given that the blonde is supposed to be Dr. Carol Marcus, it's probably the Abrams version of the Genesis device.

    Just to be clear, I don't mean copy it and put it in STO. For one, it is clearly too small to be a shuttle so it is more likely to be a probe, torpedo or genesis device delivery thingamagic as speculated by above posters.

    What I am saying is I like the look of the thing and that the general look of the thing could be the basis of a 2409-era shuttlecraft in STO.

    Good! JJ Trek just isn't Star Trek to me. It's more of a scifi adventure.

    my guess is it's some kind of underwater photon torpedo/probe thingy.

    Except the Red Matter Capacitor, Nero's Tattoo, and the entire premise that Hobus Supernoval destroyed Romulus. Yeah, there's nothing from JJ Trek in STO. Nothing at all.

    Not "except".
    None of these things originated in the movie.
    Without any exception they all appeared in the "Countdown" comics quite a while before the movie was released.:)
