Charal wing cannons platform worth it?

I currently fly the Andorian Charal Escort tactical captain here is a link to my layout currently.

What I was wondering is if the wing cannon platforms are worth the console slot they take up. I am almost to the point in New Romulus rep where I can get the [Console - Zero-Point Energy Conduit] and was wondering if it would be better to replace the wing cannon platform with that.

    The Platforms do boost your dps but the problem is, in both PvE and PvP, they are destroyed too easily and have a 2min CD, making them an utter waste of a console slot. And, yes, the Zero-Point Energy Conduit is a better choice.

    Although I would recommend the bundle for the 2-piece set bonus and Wing Cannon Overload. Not to mention the Charol is a little beefier than the Tac and Sci versions.

    How do you get the wing cannon overload? Is that something you unlock by having two of the Andorian ship console's?

    Never mind I found out how you get it.

    Looking at my set up any other pointers?
