The STO Jeep!!!

OK I'm not going to go on about the server or the constant patching although they already have people criticising them. No what does the STO really needs is an STO away mission Jeep, yep just like in the halo?s. As a starter it would be So cool in new rom, All those away missions where you have to been down and run for miles to open one box and then run another mile to the next waypoint. Nah I really dislike away missions because of that. So a Jeep with the ability to have other crew jump into it you could have other team members use the mounted gun or use their own guns and the driver is the owner of the jeep. Of course you could have the basic one start at say 100 Dilithum and the more advanced ones you either have to get with ZEN or more Dilithum. You could then put the Jeep into one of the away mission slots instead of a full crew of 4. Just think of the possibilities.

Seriously though, aside from the Argo, there really hasn't been a lot of 'ground' vehicles in Trek. For them to be worth-while, we'd probably need much, much larger planetary maps and I imagine a frustrum system required for that wouldn't mesh well with the current instance-system we have.

This would be great - and if when you spawn in areas that allow the jeep you should randomly spawn on map instead of just beaming down in one place (if open map like New ROM) or if in missions be able to have a player in the passenger seat and gunning seat would be awesome. This would allow Jeeps and other ground based vehicles to be available. I would love the creation of large maps so that players could experience having ground vehicles in the game. And also the jeep of the Star Trek film would be a great design to play around with. Like this idea and urge Cryptic to take this request and make something the player actually wants. :P
