I saw the Blue jem hadar fighters AND the jemahadar attack ship available for EC in DS9. Does this mean they changed requirments since it is not in the dilistore?

Let's hope. I don't think anyone would have an issue if the green/blue/rare purple versions were available for anyone with a special elite purple version only available for people who own a bugship.

Blue versions have been available at FED/KDF shipyards from the start. Nothing changed.

The Blue versions of the the Hanger Bug Ships are still locked behind needing to own both the Dreadnought and the Attack Ship.

Till the last update only the Very Rare Hanger Bugs were in-game but after the update there are now 3 versions of it but all are locked out if you only own the Dreadnought Carrier

At the very least the Rare Blue version of the Hanger Attack Ship should have been open to buy to all who own the Dreadnought Carrier but then Cryptic might loose some potential revenue so no it to needed to be locked away.

Moves like this do nothing but show greedy Cryptic can be.

Making the Base version of the Hanger Attack Ships available to all who own the Dreadnought Carrier would have gone a long way with the players that have no use for the Lock Box Attack Ship, it would have still given Cryptic a chance to entice us to go Bug Hunting to get bettter versions of the Hanger Bugs if we felt the need and at the same time not mad us feel like we matter less to them than the Bug ship owners do and that we are not being forced to buy a different ship just to get Hanger options that can only be used with a Carrier that we already own.

One must ask why did they bother with making a Rare version of the Hanger Bug at all

As i said its always been there, and there is a blue version for EC and Very rare for dil as with almost all the other hangers. I bought the blue version the day the dread came out till i banked 60k dil for buying the very rares.

The bugs arent fantastic but anything was a step up from the TRIBBLE jem fighters. If you have elite scorpions use them they are better. Since the weapons on the bug pets has no mods their BO will miss almost every time.

What saves the bugs from being a waste of Dil is that they can launch quickly, have good survivability, and have quantum torpedos for dmging unshielded targets aka STF transformers etc.

Cryptic needs to just make bug pets available to everyone. Sadly if they do people will find out these arent that great. Use Very Rare faction fighters/elite scorpions if you want any real dps from your pets as a dreadnought, though your dread will still do 95% of your dmg.

What makes you say that elite scorpions are better than advanced bug attack ship pets? (assuming that you meant adv. attack ship pets in your post). Just being curious as I don't have any of them.

The Attack Ship pets are extremely slow and do not do any damage effectively.

Scorpion fighters do lots of damage mainly due to the high yield plasma torpedoes which EACH fighter gets. Thus you can end up with 12 scorpion fighters hitting a target with 12 high yield plasma torpedoes.

Additionally, the Attack Ship is fitted with cannons which do not work properly because the ships are too slow to use them. The change to AI ships didnt not solve this, only mitigate it slightly and even then the smaller fighters do it better.

Result: Do not buy the Attack Ship Hanger pets, they are worthless beyond bragging rights and even then, all your bragging is that your someone that wasted a ton of resouces on something that is completely garbage.

I wouldnt go so far as to say they are garbage, the jem fighters are. The bug pets do ok, but those elite scorpions will cause so much spam and torp dmg its nuts, and since you can relaunch fighters faster, you can have basicly an endless stream of HY plasma torpedos from your ship.

I dont find the bug pets slow, they just arent like player bug ships. Bigger frigate class ships need to hit their targets to be effective as they cant turn as fast as fighters. The KDF frigates for instance drop tons of torps/mines and hit a lot.

The bug ships main dmg special isnt the CRF as all AI sucks at lining up attack runs, so its from torpedos and the beams, well its BO misses a ton, 3/4th of the time miss = pretty useless. It has quatum torpedos but has no HYT or scatter to take real advantage of them.

End result is those pets with torpedos + torpedo abilities > those without. Its why B'roth bop's/catfish frigates are well above their competition in dmg. If your a carrier and your pet isnt dmg, healing or debuffing its dead weight. Jem pets fighters or bugs, dont really dmg, they dont heal at all, and they dont debuff cept for ap sweep = dead weight.

I personally like my adv bugs dispite them being totally sub par. But im adaptable. The jem fighters need totally redone or scrapped. Bug needs speed upped and drop BO give it THY1 and itd be a great pet.
