Personally i want to have borg shields for regen speed, borg engines for the two piece that would have the hull heal (is it any gd?) and the maco deflector for the increase in shield subsystems n emitters
Im using the jhas n the turn is fine but the borg adds critical and im adding borg twch with ap for max crit damage, the engines r a bonus but im.unsure on borg shield

Borg... is tricky.
I wouldn't recommend it if you don't know what you want to get out of it. All I will say is that the shield is the worst part of the set, and is less effective for escorts than any other ship.
For an escort the MACO shield is by far the best choice. The Borg seems more of a Science shield to me.
I currently run the MACO shield and Borg Emitter and Engine for the set bonus, whilst I build up my OMEGA marks. Once I have them built up again, like you, I am looking at the MACO emitter for the shield bonuses too. Although I do love my Borg hull heal.
I can see my running MACO shield and emitter and fleet engine to be honest.....
borg deflector or Adapted KHG deflector if you are not relying extensively on sci. These deflectors gives you the highest structural integrity among others (+26.2).
Now it depends what more would you want.
Borg gives you:
+17.5 Starship Inertial Dampers (for better turn rate?)
+5 Auxiliary Power
+17.5 Starship Graviton Generators (no idea what it does)
+26.2 Starship Power Insulators (no idea what it does)
KHG (Adapted) gives you:
+17.5 Starship Shield System
+17.5 Starship Inertial Dampers
+8.8 Starship Electro-Plasma System (no idea what it does)
+17.5 Starship Shield Emitters (no idea what it does)
+17.5 Starship Graviton Generators (no idea)
All stats are from wiki
Sields and engine are tricky. It depends what stats you get. Personally I use borg engine for travel while Omega 2 piece set (from old prototype drops) during PvE battles.

If anyone still reads this post- just a couple of thoughts: equipment rollout is best fitted for your particular style of play. At the higher levels of equipment that are obtainable, no one piece, or set of equipment are better than the others, it seems to me. Also, the game makers really do try to keep the game balanced as much as possible. As to the style that I like to play with, some pieces of Omega/Maco make more since to me to use, while Advanced Fleet equipment goes well in areas that Omega/Maco doesn't. On specifics, though, I like asynchronus warp better than reduced slipstream drive cooldown. My escort goes about transwarp 18, and with slipstream activated, goes transwarp 30.

I tend to find that Deflector and Engines being Assimilated Borg and shield being MACO tends to be an exceedingly great combination. Prevents a lot of hull damage, gives you innate regeneration, provides more Engine and Aux power and Hull Healing Boosts. MACO shield is also one of the absolute best with its huge cap, somewhat acceptable regen (compared to Covariants at least), and ability to skim so much damage off the top and give you extra power.
Often overlooked, the Aegis deflector and engine are a good choice for an escort. The reason being, that when you equip those two you wind up with +10 to bonus defense, plus some good boosts to your shields. Bonus Defense, aka "speed tanking", is what you're really after in an escort. You don't have to absorb/heal damage that misses you entirely. Pair that up with the Elite Fleet Shields and you basically get the 3-piece Aegis bonus, but without having to run the lackluster Aegis shield. MACO shield works as well, is what I ran before our fleet got access to the Elite shields. Only downside to Aegis is you put around sector at Warp 10. Either carry a spare engine for that, or abuse your transwarps and slipstream.

Back before they decided to nerf the original Borg set by breaking down to three pieces for Star Trek Online Season Six: The Quest for More Money, 3-piece Borg with an Aegis deflector and the usual 2xEPtS rotation was a sweet setup. You could literally keep shield power maxed out at or near 125, have a static 125/90 weapons power setting, and roll the surplus from shields into Aux to help with heals. Sadly, no more.
Well atm im running romulan shield and romulan engines for the attack pattern increase, im grinding for the borg engines, i have a maco deflector for the stats are great and i like the borg set for the regen ability but now not sure if losing all that shield power i got now with rom shield (11k) is worth the faster regen and possible random hull heal, has someone got one on there jhas and can tell me there shield strength?

The Borg set is better for Cruisers or Science vessels. The faster regeneration comes at the expense of shield capacity, and due to Escorts being the quick-strike ships they are, their combat is shorter, thus the regeneration rate is somewhat of a moot point. When it comes to escorts, shield capacity is more important. The Reman set is good (Romulan if you have a cloaking device), also the MACO or Adapted MACO work well.
Thanks for the expansion that had "as much content as the last"
9 Episodes = 30+ episodes...?

It's pronounced "S.T.O." "Stow" sounds idiotic! lol
My Fleet Advanced Escort has shield facings of 15,200 but the regen is almost nonexistent.
^ That's how you want it on an escort right there!

I use Adapted Maco/KHG Shield and Omega Deflector/Engines for Tetryon Glider. Really high shield capacity and some nice shield stripping.

Sounds pretty perfect to me.
Personally I'm locked to the Mk12 Jem Hadar set (with elite fleet shield) for the polaron damage boost, which is about half a tac console. Plus I like thematics, so yeah.
If I didn't care about thematics, I would run that setup with plasma weapons and embassy consoles. Pwnworthy.

Why's that? (Can't find a table of stats published anywhere)
As why elite engines are junk, would you have rather more speed or more turn or 1-2 more power?
