Does the timer end on PAX?

That would mean the addon is announced on the PAX! :eek: That is the moment everything is revealed!

    I assumed they picked Thursday because Thursdays are patch days, and everything seems to revolve around that day one way or another.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    STO doesn't appear to be on the list of exhibits at PAX, and since the announcement is coming the day before PAX I'm guessing it's coincidence.

    If they were going to be at PAX, I'd expect it to be at Prime, not East, since that's within roadtrip range and not vacation range.

    Coincidence. We (Cryptic/PWE) will be at PAX East (I'll be there, so stop by and say "hi" if you are there too!) showing off Neverwinter. The fact that the countdown ends on a Thursday/ "typical patch day" is also coincidence.

    Ok then, March 21st was chosen because it's the day Archer was taken prisoner by the Tellarite Skalaar; or because it is on day before Kirk's birthday. :)

    I assumed they had to pick it because PW's Q4 shareholder report and phoecall are Monday or Tuesday, I think, and part of the deal is that shareholders get news on major new monetization before we do and Cryptic is under contract not to talk about major expected sources of revenue before the shareholders know.

    Was the written report also released?

    EDIT: So they did. Color me shocked. I figured this would be another case where PWE spilled the beans and Dan had to call corporate to talk about things we already know.
