A new Klingon shuttle?

Recently I replayed the Doomsday Device mission, everything was the same as the last time I played it until K'valt's sacrafice.
I noticed the shuttle he was using is different, originally it was the Toron shuttle now it's a new one I haven't seen before.
It kind of looks like the boarding shuttles used with the ability.
Anyone else notice this?

    That is the Toron shuttle. Well, sort of. The Toron was replaced by a new, larger model some time ago.

    Yeah they revamped the Toron to the KDF equivalent of the Runabout.


    Still, I question Cryptic's logic in doing that. If they were going to replace the old Toron, they should've just made a new shuttlecraft altogether. That way the STO Toron would've stayed somewhat close to the canonical Toron shuttlepod.

    I mean they have the Kivra shuttlepod (which is the old Toron model) flying around the KDF Starbase, why not just make the Kivra use the new model instead?

    Plus that would have given the KDF a new shuttle.

    Well that is dissapointing, thought there might be a new shuttle with Not Season 8.

    worst thing is, that the original Toron Shuttle was a John Eaves design:

    i have no idea where that new one supposedly came from, probably completely made up by Cryptic?

    Old one as it was and new one as a KDF version of the delta flyer (2 boffs instead of one).

    Or something like that.

    Bahh... shuttles.
