Saw it posted in another thread, and now I want to know what is on this secret gentlemen's agreement list that people shouldn't use in a pre-made pvp match.
I go by the rule of "Run what you Brung" same as any good old fashioned grudge matched street race... if that means i get my TRIBBLE handed to me then so be it (it happens all the time, some guys just are better with better stuff)
Anything you use against someone that works is OP.Anything they use against you that works is OK. If you want to be the most hated player in the game hit someone with a grav pulse inversion and ams .

OUCHIES! I hate that combo!

Even nastier is feedback pulse plus the grav pulse inversion with 125 aux power and max skills for those abilities. Will send a nasty amount of damage back at anyone that attacks you with the grav pulse inversion reflecting over 1.2 damage.
I'd think the best rule of thumb would be to just avoid using things which you know are broken -- not overpowered, but actually broken. Like if Cryptic says an ability is broken. It happens occasionally, and often problems remain unfixed for months or more.
I gave up worrying about it when a whole slew of posts began, "I don't use any consoles, except for x and y." It turns out that no one is using any consoles, while actually using their two favorites.

EDIT: Nothing in general that is always or almost always frowned upon?
It's a moving target. SNb doffs have been a pretty constant issue, some other consoles. But given the habit of ninja patching, things change quickly.
P2W is so deeply embedded into the system that it is hard to avoid. So no P2W has gone out of the window a long time ago.
The fact that some (probably the majority, imv) feel the need to have these agreements in the first place is rather telling.
