Explore Mission Timers

I can understand having timers on missions with high end awards like STF's, fleet actions, fleet mark missions, episode missions, or the former mission Investigate Officer Reports. Even dailies make sense for obvious reasons, but why the explore missions? I know it's tied with the explore daily but you can repeat these missions without the high end dil reward. Pretty much from the time you accept it you have 30 mins before you can do it again. Which can make you wait 10-20 mins everytime you finish.

Is there any reason to this? Since it's not like you're getting anything that great from doing it to warrant such a timer (Besides doing the daily once a day). If anything it seems to just slow down accolade hunters and make something that could take less than a day, take a week to weeks just to complete 1 accolade arc.

Any opinions on this from other accolade hunters? Also any chance for this to change?

It's anti-grinding. The cooldowns are there to spare you from the temptation to engage in the "soul-crushing grind" that people here always complain about.

For which, considering the missions are horribly boring and repetitive, 30 minutes isn't anywhere near enough. Fortunately, since they only give a meaningful reward once per 24 hours, all is good. Accolades alone aren't enough to make me touch them with 50 foot pole.

The daily + accolades together are just enough incentive for me to scrounge up the will to maybe complete one per day, and even then only by doing "diplomatic investigations" on the side while doffing.
