I currently have borg and MACO mk xi engines. Because the MACO has the driver coil buff, the two almost average out. (one has faster warp factor, the other has faster quantum slipstream). Since I spend far less time in QSD, I use the borg Mk Xi engine for touring, even with my Oddy.
My question is which one is better at Mk XII level? The data sheet on the borg engine shows no markup in performance, but the MACO engine gets it's markup from the improved driver coil buff. This tells me that I'm better off with the MACO engine.
Has anyone used both? What's the difference?
My ultimate goal is to achieve a 5 round galaxy tour. I don't really want to spend the money on something that won't benefit me.
