Tac consoles and dual proc weapons

With dual proc weapons, can one use tac consoles that boost one weapon type or the other? Or do you have to use the 'primary' weapon type ie if phased polaron, do you have to you tac consoles that boost polaron or can you also use phaser relays

When you look at the weapon details the damage type is what console you need to use. The proc is secondary feature of the weapon.
