Kirk and Spock. Aside from the fact that they were complementary opposites-- Spock's logical, by-the-book behaviour contrasted quite well with Kirk's rashness-- theirs was probably the strongest friendship in the whole franchise. The fact that Kirk went to great lengths to bring Spock back to life says something about that.

Honourable nods, of course, go to Data and Geordi, Sisko and Dax, Bashir and O'Brien, Odo and Quark, Dukat and Kira, and the Doctor and Seven of Nine.

P.S. You forgot Jake and Nog, and Seven of Nine and Naomi Wildman.

Bah, you got to Odo and Quark before me.

You forgot to mention Garak and... well, just about anyone in DS9, really. :)

Kira & Dukat and Kira & Sisko.
Or just about any two characters on DS9.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Watch the season 6 episode of DS9 called "Waltz" if I remember the name correctly.

You get to see Dukat having duo moments with:
    Wayoun
    Damar
    Kira
    Sisko

Granted, three of the four are figments of Dukats imagination, but it is a really good episode and great examples of two characters going at each other.

Granted it's been awhile, but weren't they basically a single "character" when it came to plot purposes? I don't recall anything ever happening with just Lursa or B'etor.

    My favorite doubles were:

Paris and Tuvok, and Jake and Nog. Especially when the roles reversed between them, and Nog had to correct Jake's work on the speech he was writing for Kira... The Student became the Master

No mention of Archer & Shran? For all the things Enterprise got wrong, Shran and his banter with his favorite Pinkskin was something that went wonderfully right.

    Others
    TOS: McCoy and Spock
    TNG: Picard and Q
    DS9: Bashir and Garak
    VOY: No.

True he could have played off anyone, but it wouldn't work if he was doing it alone.

    TOS: Kirk & Spock
    TNG: Riker & Worf
    DS9: Bashir & O'Brian
    VOY: Paris & Kim
    ENT: Archer & Trip

These are basically selected because these characters worked off of each other as actors and as Officers working together making for good Television and good working relationships.

Spock and Bones. I don't think any Trek pairing made me laugh as much as those two.

"Doctor, would you care to assist me in performing surgery on a photon torpedo?"

    "Fascinating."
