Gents, I notice a number of you have some great signatures (I think thats what they are called) at the bottom of your posts. Some are in fact awesome and so was wondering how you go about creating these little masterpieces and if there is a program available to help a newb like myself out in creating one.
Cheers for any help you chaps can offer. Thanks in advance.

Photoshop for mine, but I put it together real quick so it's pretty basic, and I borked the transparency around the edge. I'll get around to fixing it at some point though.

I know there must be some sites that will generate a sig for you though.

Yeah Photoshop or MS Paint are great, just snap some screen shots in game here and there, get some Fleet emblems or icons(if applicable) and your achievements, etc. etc. can come together nicely for a sig picture.

MS Excel 2007 and MS Paint.

I use Excel just to position everything, create text boxes, use its glow effects, transparency tool and wordart, then screenshot dump into MS Paint to crop it to shape.

Ah, youngsters. When I got my first computer - Kaypro 10 - the graphics for a an X-Wing, Tie-Fighter, and Enterprise were:

    >o<

    <-o->

    =o

I may have to take a continuing education course on Photoshop.

    Photoshop is pretty great.

Just make sure you save the .psd file with separate layers (or whatever equivalent your program uses), in case you accidentally let a typo through.

Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, and Sai are really nice if you have/can afford them. Graphics Gale, Inkscape, and Pixia are decent free options. And there's Gimp if you're desperate.

Gimp was the only thing I knew about. Does that still make me desperate? :p

Guess i'll look into the other options, but Gimp does the job well so I don't see myself moving on.

None for me. Someone else made mine. I won't say who, so that person isn't spammed with requests.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

It does okay. I've just had a lot of unpleasant experiences with it.

Must be some kind of pro that made it though, seriously. :D:P

I will help anyone make a signature for the forums though, don't think the risk of spammage is very high.
Just PM me through the forum with wishes and we'll go from there.

And mimey, let me know if you want a new sig or any other images. :)
