Hey all, just wondering if there has actually been any issue with EPtS. I've noticed lately (since the andorian ships showed up) that the skill doesn't seem to be nearly as effective as it was before. Full aux power, half aux power, with or without an aux battery, it (epts 1 or 2) seems to barely boost the shields of any of my ships if it even touches them at all.
Figured I'd post here instead of bug reports, as I'm not entirely sure if it's just me or an actual bug lol.
Are you using it on an Andorian ship? Because I think healing abilities don't work as well on Andorian ships (or at least, didn't -- I hear this was a bug that has since been fixed, but some people still say it's not fixed).
If you're flying a non-Andorian ship, then I dunno. I'm flying my Fleet Defiant-R with EPtS, and I haven't really noticed a difference.

Nope, I dont (and wont) own any of the andorian ships. Just seems "lacking" lately no matter which character/class/ship I'm using, to the point that I sometimes have a hard time keeping shields up at all. lol maybe it's just my ships and boffs revolting against me...stranger things have happened
Auxiliary Power does nothing for Emergency Power abilities.
omg LOL you're right. That would explain why aux power wasn't helping, however still doesn't explain the lack of boost. I'll just sit back and see what happens I guess because something definately seems "off" to me.
And Thanks Mando for pointing that error on my part out lol...wow how did I miss that after this long.
epts isnt really for a heal, its more for the resists. at level 50 i get 1800 a facing? thats pathetic. especially when an andys cash canons can strip my bop and have hull at 50% in one pass.
never seen a game where one faction gets so much help from the devs in pvp lulz
Boost you Shield Emitters Skill and it will provide more of a heal. Failing that you can also add Emitter Array consoles which will boost it. The romulan cloak (T5 Rom) will also boost your shield heal if used.
As someone else said, the main thing about emergency power to shields is a small heal with massive resist.
As tc10b says, you'll probably want more points in Shield Emitters.
That said, the strength of EPtS is really in the high uptime of the 20% damage mitigation it provides (on top of the damage mitigation from the Shield Power Level increase).
For Shield Healing, I'd go with:
0) Distributing shields manually and with Tac Team (technically not a heal though)
1) Transfer Shield Strength (also benefits from Shield Emitters)
2) Reverse Shield Polarity
3) Shield Distribution DOFFs (also benefits from Shield Emitters)
4) Extend Shields from a teammate
5) Technically Sci Team (not popular because it shares a cooldown with Tac Team)
And to answer the OP's question, I haven't really noticed any difference in EPtS since F2P.
