Just curious as I have just come back after a year or so and had a LOBI issue where I have paid over $200 for an item [with the are you sure] box and got the next item on the list. I am not sure if this is lag or a glitch with the table resetting as it also happens occasionally with the replicator and Industrial Energy Cells (the one needed for the 2000 rep). I chose the energy cell, set it to 65 then say yes to [are you sure], I then get 65 Antigens.
I made a ticket in game and with the support system over 12 days ago with ZERO updates or even acknowledgements. I have updated both tickets 1 or 2 times to see if there is anyone even looking at things.
I really want to purchase the new Andorian Escort and renew my next month subscription, but I really cannot justify spending real world money on an item or game if there is no resources or even support for the purchases made.
Steve
P.S. Is this normal? If so, then I guess it answers the question and might be best for me to move on.
Ok 13 days now, 2 separate tickets ( 1 in game, 1 web ) each updated by me 4 times. There is no support for this game at all, this returning player eating his $200 loss and moving on. I guess they got the money so its not really an issue for them now.
Judging by all the forum uproar, things seem to have changed a lot in the last few years.
I have never had this issue personally but the UI lag with STO is nothing new. My suggestion though to help make people aware better is to FRAPS a video of this happening in-game, YouTube it, and then add it to this thread or possibly create a new one in the Controls and Inferface area of the forums. Specs of your computer and the settings you are running always help as well.
One thing that springs to mind though is AA (AntiAliasing). There are a lot of issues with that in this game and running it can produce some very strange UI lag. You might want to try adjusting your AA to off and see if this issue persists. You might also want to try the C-Store from the launcher and see if that works better for you. Testing wise, I would say use Tribble so you aren't playing with real money until you are sure you don't end up buying something you don't want.
Hmm, I just had this happen to me. Went to buy stem bolts for the omega rep project and ended up with entertainment provisions. I'm positive I had it on stem bolts. I'm very careful when choosing things in game menus as I've made mistakes in past MMOs. Strange.
Yes, there is UI lag. Happened to me all the time while buying commodities for the Rep system, which Im sure can affect other vendor UI screens (aka...the Lobi) as well. The best bet is to select what you want and let it sit for a few seconds before actually purchasing the item(s). Often you can sit and watch it jump from the item you wanted to the item above or below it.
Yeah the in game support system for STO is utter trash, worst I've seen in any MMO ever. Had a GM finally respond to a couple tickets I've had in the queue for well over a month now. I think the people that handle the support system is AFK watching TRIBBLE 90% of the time. This is a PWE issue though, not Cryptic. PWE handles the tkt system.
