Borg Neural Processor suggestion

firekeeperhufirekeeperhu Member Posts: 416 Arc User
I finally hit Omega T5 with all of my chars, it was heavy grinding, but it's over now. But now I have a new mega-grinding project in front of me: space sets. 1000 OM, 34k dil and 10 BNP each. Dil is not really a problem because there are lot of ways to earn it, so yeah it's grinding, but at least not so repetitive. BNP isn't much of a problem too, because it can be earned in 6 or 11 packs in eSTF loots. But the mark... even if I go only in reputation event, and hit the optional too (what is not really easy if I have to go with PUG's, no matter how pro I am or not), it's still a lot STF to go to (at least 9-10 per item which makes ~30/set).

So here's my suggestion: make a reputation project what can convert Neural processors to Omega marks. Like 1 processor to 20 OM, this way players couldn't get more dilithium by converting BNP to OM first, than dilithium, but it can be a good help for set, and reputation tier grinding players. Not game-breaker I think, just a little help.

RnD and upgrade needs less RNG. Less lottery. Something has to change.

    I'm all for this.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

Absolutely 100% agreed; by the time I hit tier V I had about 1200 Omega Marks and had hoarded over 100 Borg Neural Processors thinking they'd be the main requirement for the Mk XII requisition projects.

How wrong I was! It's silly really as you only need about 1 processor for every 100 marks earned, and yet most elite STF's earn what, 60-90 marks but 1-11 processors?

Obviously turning them into Dilithium is nice, but only really because it means I can get Dilithium without having to grind the STF for a bit. But when I need marks I generally get enough Dilithium in the process anyway, which means the neural processors are mostly redundant.

Personally I'd prefer them to increase the neural processor requirement for the higher level projects, while reducing their Dilithium cost or required marks to compensate, but a conversion project would be good too.

Having an excess of Neural Processors is your own problem IMO, but I don't disagree with the notion that Neural Processors should have the option of being turned in for Omega marks. The only problem I have with this is that marks are effectively more valuable than Neural Processors anyhow.

Wow that is expensive! not reached top tier yet one to go although i have over 3k of omega marks but not sure how many i will have by the time i reach there!

Why so expensive you work your way to the top only to have to pay out of the nose for the items anyway. Its grind after grind after grind.
