Among others, this is something dStahl has talked about in recent interviews being considered for a future fleet holding. If it was created, what types of rewards would you like to see from it? Extra Dilithium refining? A private mine? DOFF missions to mine for you? These are all just ideas I came up with while writing this, but post your ideas here and I'll pass them along.
How about a way to refine dilithium *ore* into fleet marks via DOff missions?
I think that would be an interesting conversion that I feel could be balanced quite easily - especially if it was handled in a way where it was limited as a daily.
Have any questions about the game? Send me a message and I'll be happy to help!

This actually sounds like a very interesting idea (that people will hate) It can be said that dilithium can now be fairly easily acquired, so being able to convert this into fleet marks like you can with CXP would make for an interesting balance.
With that said, the exorbitant(IMO some borderline ussery for small fleets) requirement for dilithium in fleet constructions might make this impractical or at the very least a hard bargain to justify
How about a discount to the mount of dilithium (25% off for example) needed to buy weapons/armour/shields etc from the fleet stores, since y'know you'll have your own mine to cover some of the cost.
looking at current trends... it will most likely have massive limitations and drawbacks... like having lvl 5 starbase just to build one, 10mil dilithium to finish the project and most likely somethign else zen related and maximum refine limits. Or just plain +1k ore /day which is useless due to the 8k daily refining limit anyways.
Hmmm well yeah would like to see the daily ore refinement cap increase or as someone stated maybe purchase(convert dili into) fleet marks or something around that idea

How about all of the above?
Also how about a Dilithium bonus pool? Like the other boost pools, you gain 20% extra dilithum.

If possible I'd like to see a high tier mine have synergy with high tier starbase areas. For example, the Fleet Mine funds the shipyard provisioning by offering to purchase older (non-ZStore) ships from members of the fleet for a Dilithium price. This way, especially for people who want a different ship they aren't entirely throwing away their Dilithium if they don't like it. Or for those of us who've outgrown our other ships or want to replace them with ZStore variants. Each ship sold in this way could add 1 to the provisioning store depending on it's tier. No Fleet Credits would be rewarded in this transaction and the Dilithium would be a fraction of the ships cost (25-40%)
The ability to refine more Dilithium per day as well as Doff assignments for mining. Also the ability to permanently assign BOFFs for a small Dilithium or Fleet Credit reward as part of the Mining facility staff.
If it were possible to set it up so that it automatically loaded other starbase projects with Dilithium once every X days (not even filling them but a set amount) that too would be great.
If this would be just another version of the asteroid, I don't want it. I went there once when it was released, and another time when I got a few of those claims that were added recently. Other than that, I have no desire to have my Starfleet captain mining dilithium.
If it does something functional for the base or characters, like raising the daily conversion cap, or giving a boost to dilihtium gained during missions, that's cool.

A dilithium mine could feed a small amount of dilithium each day into dilithium inputs on open starbase projects, say 1,000 per day per tier. 3,000 per day with a maxed mine would make a dent in 20 hour projects and help keep upgrades from stalling, but wouldn't be enough to break progression or remove the resource sink, and wouldn't keep up with featured projects (particularly with only feeding the starbase, and not other minor holdings).
I'd actually like to see something like that on all minor holdings: The embassy could feed doffs in a similar manner, say 1-2 doffs per tier per day - even a maxed embassy would require a few weeks to fill a 20 hour tier 4 project, so it would keep projects from stalling but not take over progression (it would take years to do what even a small fleet should be managing in days).
Other possible holdings could do similar things: a surplus yard could feed EC-equivalent inputs (photon torpedo launchers, peregrine fighters, basic commodities), a colony could feed doffs as well, or just civilians but at a slightly higher rate, or even feed the embassy and not the starbase.
I can even imagine a fleet holding which is literally a fleet itself, a task force stationed at the starbase (cruiser, escort, and science sub tracks with a flagship main track) which feeds 25 fleet marks per tier per day. 200k dilithium featured projects to add the latest new ship to your task force - I'm giving you that one for free, guys.

A fleet holding that is effectively a fleet in space? Something like Battleforce Omega? That is interesting. Could serve as the map for a PVE scenario too...
It would be even cooler if it had physical manifestations/avatars of the ships of some of your fleetmates there - say whilst they are offline?
A Fleet Dilithium Mine should do either (or both) of two things...
Increase by some percentage, a fleet members ability to Refine More Ore.
or
Increase by some percentage their ability to Gain More Ore.
Nothing else is logical.
Converting Dilithium to Fleet marks is a great idea, but using a Dilithium Mine to do that doesn't really make much sense.
(not that many of the things we already do in this game make a lot of sense, but this one just seems a bit too far fetched.)

I like hevach's idea about the mine feeding some small but non-trival amount of dilithium into the fleet projects, and about the embassy feeding some small but non-trivial about of boffs into the fleet projects.
If fact, I think it would be nice if everything in the starbase system meshed like this, and not just from "lesser" holdings to the starbase, but from the starbase to the "lesser" holdings.
For instance, if the dilithium mine helps the starbase complete projects, then the starbase should help the dilithium mine do something, like maybe give better EVA and mining equipment. And the higher the level of the starbase, the better the equipment.
Alternately, it might be good if the mine did something like feed the starbase your dilithium, not let it count against your personal refining cap. So, for instance, if you have 8,000 dilithium, you can either refine it for yourself and be at the cap, or you can give it to the starbase through the dilithium mine and it won't count against the cap, so you can go right back and get 8,000 more dilithium for yourself. Keeps the grind, but gives a reward to donating dilithium to the starbase. Maybe the higher the tier of the holding, the more benifit it gives. At Tier One, it would lony let you donate 3,000 dilithium free, but at Tier Three, it gives you the full 8,000 free of refinig costs.
if we had a DI mine as a fleet holding it should benefit the fleet. Any DI gained from it should go a fleet DI repository to be used for any fleet holding upgrade that requires DI.
A fleet DI mine account could also be used to buy FM or other items needed to upgrade/provision a fleet holding. It becomes the 'input' into some type of fleet asset management account.
Perhaps fleet members could also 'donate' to this account and this could be used in some type of fleet asset trading exchange with other STO fleets. (like the current exchange, but only for fleet use.) ex. fleet X has too much DI or too many doffs. they trade these doffs for FM or DI or whatever else is needed. Again all assets are fleet property, to be used for only fleet holding upgrades/provisioning and can not be withdrawn for personal use by anyone!
just a idea....

I like the conversion idea, but I would also like to see the refining cap raised as a holding or gold member perk. Like say 5x the amount now...
Still amazes me Gold don't have a higher refine cap.
If it was a fleet holding I'd hope it was either lead to as higher refine cap or offer ability to buy fleet marks, but would expect it would be just a fleet exclusive asteroid mining instance

I was thinking added to the space map of the starbase system (effectively putting two holdings in one map, if that's possible), with the conceit that they're standing by to take care of red alerts and such even if players aren't (hence the fleet mark trickle).
Alternately, since the delta quadrant sounds like an upcoming destination, the battlegroup could serve as a mini-starbase in the Delta Quadrant, with the flagship set up with facilities and its own versions of the Starbase missions featuring Delta Quadrant races.

Over 9000 refined dilithium. Extra.
