BO Love

How much do you love your BOffs?

Do you make sure all their uniforms match yours?

Have you written bios for all of your BOs and added it to their service records?

Are you particularly proud/protective/fond of an away team member?

Have you renamed your BOffs from their default names?

What do YOU do to show your BOs love? Or are they just plug and play/min-max cogs in your DPS grindfest?

    Depends.

On one character, I have them all dressed in winter jackets and named after the main characters of Bubblegum Crisis (which is the ship name of course).

On another, I am building to an all andorian crew (for the ship hopefully stilll coming up), and I rather dislike the vulcan I have right now.

I've never formally written up anything, but some of them have back stories.

Eh, for the most part, they are more than plug and play cogs.

(Im more KDF than Fed, and all uniforms match)

My klingon guy has a all Klingon crew

My orion female has an all male crew, because, you know, she seduced them all :)

My lethian male has a mixed crew of all KDF races execpt klingon for diversity

My feresean male has 75% other feresean crew members, with a klingon commander to keep him in check! ( yeah i can never spell feresean )

I always like to make sure my Boffs match uniforms and ranks, I try not to level them all to commander for more 'realism', who wants a bridge full of commanders lol, in the KDF id have to watch my back against them all!

Yep, I love my BOFFs! :)

They have their own back stories, and future ones planned too. For some of them, I really thought hard about their names and have sometimes tweaked their appearance to make them even better.

Their uniforms have to match mine or else they don't get to come on away missions with me! Can't have a sloppy wardrobe when you are representing the United Federation of Planets. We have an image to upkeep. :D

I just recently made my BOFF wear the same outfit as mine.

Long black winter coat, warriors sash, tholian silk scarf, high boots, and designated their department by the color of the inner thigh area of their pants (red for tactical, blue for science, yellow for engineer).

    Except for my Romulan BOFFs.

Thanks for posting this fun topic.

My original 3 toons are all identical except for their careers. On each of these I have 15 (so far) Identical VR purple or Rare unique Boffs, names, uniforms etc. I check them often and try to keep them as similar as possible.

I recently created my 10th character and it is identical to one of my Boffs I've long considered my first officer. So Boffs are important :)

Love some of them, hate others. (Those androids are just so dang cocky!)

They are all named after supporting characters from the technothriller series I'm writing.

They all have bios written from their CO's pov.

I try to make sure that they all have unique uniforms that sortof capture their personality and background.

My two mains reached teir 4 Diplomacy/Marauder at about the same time, so I arranged an "offiicer exchange" between them; each giving up a (green) tactical officer that had been with them since practically the beginning and sending him to the other side (where they suddenly became purples.)

Two former bridge officers have been given commands of their own (discharged and rolled as toons.)

Only the Fed main where I went the whole nine yards: 14 boffs across 2 ships and a Hazard team, full backstories, characterization, standardized escort group officer and fighter wingmen uniforms, and even have assigned voice actors!

Even the ships have stories, and each one even after I've discharged them remains on the records assigned either my toon if he was in command or a senior officer (as in my writing, some of my Commanders are actually Captains in my carrier escort group).

My Orion KDF dil mules however have no such treatment.
