Ambassador Unique Hull Pattern

Since the release of the Ambassador class includes a unique hull pattern in the ship tailor, made specifically for the ship, why doesn't Cryptic go back and revisit this idea for other ships? For example, the Connie refit can get it's hull pattern, as seen here.

The bluish grey pattern is not available through any of the existing hull patterns. It would be a nice addition to the game.

it would be too much work for them, without any real income.

also there are now fleet patterns too, so they added new ones too.

my real gripe on this matter is, that the Vesta's pattern is only available with the Vesta hull material (which is a lazy job, with the nacelles not being animated), still thats off topic :)

but I noticed they do some uniqe stuff to the newer ships, and the older ships just got the fleet patterns, so there you go :D I would not hope for more on this matter

Hope spurns innovation. I, one day, would like to see Cryptic take the initiative and revamp existing ship models to be as detailed as the newer ships we have seen in-game.

My problem with this, as I love the material for vesta and the pattern is good too, except that goofy powder blue color that you can darken, but you can't eliminate. *grumble*

*edit because I quoted the wrong guy*

As much as I would love to the Devs to go back and redo a lot of ships, it seems that getting them to do that is like pushing on a rope. :(

They could sell the "special" hull materials on the C-store. I'd buy it if they included the Type 6 material.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

When you throw in a shield set with a visual effect or change the hull patterns, you see that the ambassador skin is just a way to cover up that the textures on the hull is actually just unfinished.

At least it sure looks like it.
