    It may be too soon to tell, but somehow the trailer seems to be saying that it's basically the exact same movie as last time, just with a different villain and it's now the earth that is threatened this time.

    can't they do anything differently? :P

    No, the villian is named Conn now. Totally different. :P

    I'm really looking forward to this movie and I've got a lot of non-trekkies feeling excited about it as well. It's done its job as a reboot in breathing new life into the franchise.

    I'm looking forward to seeing it also. I have to check a lot of Trekness at the door, though.

    Personally JJ's first film got me back into star trek. after watching it i dug out all the old VHS' and fell back in love with star trek. Hopefully this one will be as good if not better then the first.:D

    I'm looking forward to it. There were a couple of bits that I really liked. I already knew part of this was set in Britain, but I really liked seeing the Union flag with the Federation one. Bigger than that though is the really strong hint that John Harrison is an augment.

    Harrison: I am better.

    Kirk: At what?

    Harrison: Everything.

    Plus he shares a resemblance with the onscreen augments form ENT (though not the ones form Space Seed / Wrath of Khan).

    JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

    Well, to be fair, it was only a small amount of his ashes that were sent into orbit. At least that's what I recall.
