Old Gorn minefield

I just wanted to say how much i miss the old Gorn minefield map. It was so much fun to play. Its sad its gone but i really hope we could get it back. Anyone else feel like i do?

    No. I hope it has been deleted with excessive force! It was horrible and it was rare to find anyone who did more than kill frigates over and over and over.

    The new one is far better and quicker. Easy to see goals helps even the most unaware keep up with the mission objectives.

    Slow? Its almost the same thing as Klingon Scout force with a swarm of respawning foes. Though it did add to a sense of awesome 1 man army action, but it really dragged out the battle.

    Never ending respawning waves of Gorn Frigates, this is already bad but then we had players that were apparently unable to understand the concept of GOING OVER THEM and just stuck there, in the Frigate Respawn Hell as the ones with a functional brain cell had to carry the damn thing to its end by themselves.

    60 Frigates

    New Gorn Mine Field.

    Sure, there are some cruisers but it certainly lacks the respawning frigate hell (the dead stay dead), its by FAR faster that before.

    Saying its too slow means that ...

    a)You are lying
    b)You never played and/or this is a spambot trying to sound like a human being.
    c)You are some kind of alien entity trying to pass as a human.


    Dude, you are totally right, I should have explained the context, slow = boring.

    Zoom to the right, first volley knocks out the 2 frigates and the cruiser, evasive to the next asteroid, same action, pop over to the next frigate...same story (maybe recover minerals ) by now, team has caught up (and we are only 3 minutes into this) pop over to new warp point, hammer the fleet shps and their escorts, clear one asteroid, help out with the middle, then the left... repair (6 minutes in total so far) the slowest part is the repairing of the mines. So while the greedy team members are already at the spawn point of the Klink ship, the rest are tying up loose ends for another 30 secs or so. Then the 'boss ship arrives, and 30 secs he's dead... total time played = 8 minutes... so yeah...that's fast BUT slow...

    Old gorn Minefield = Chuck Norris, Liam Neeson, Van Damme and Bruce Willis (hell why not add the Governator) against an army... we are talking The Expendables meets Star Trek... a sheer Gorn-fest where you can blow the **** out of anythign in your path... No...it's not realistic (sorry to break this to those nay sayers but this IS just a game), no it's not easy (who wants easy?? YOU'RE LEVEL 50!!!) and yes.... I'm afraid to say it but...you will die... but you will respawn...and hell hath no fury like a Starfleet Admiral scorned...so please...Cryptic.... Bring it back... in the infamous words of Ben Sisko.... 'Arm Quantum torpedo's...drop the cloak...and raise shields....we're going in!'.

    BRING IT BACK!!!!
