In-Game Chat [Suggestion]

Writing this on a whim but it's something I thought of since starting to play STO.
Why not make it so we can have the chat tabs flash when a new message is posted in any of the chats assigned to that tab?
And to take it one step further, perhaps even make it so the tab would flash in the same color as the chat that's being posted in has.
Personally I have a hard time follow one chat if it gets more people chatting, like in an ESD zone. With flashing tabs I think it would get alot easier filter the chats without "missing out" on anything in another chat.
Feel free to post any thoughts.

^Precisely the problem.
Although I would agree, perhaps setting flashes for certain channels ONLY would be better.

In other games where they already have something similar to this, the flashing switches to a slow pulsating when the spammage is too heavy. So say you have a trade channel in one tab, that tab would most likely always pulsate, until you look at that chat to reset it.
