well dstahl said we would see a fleet ambassador sooner than later.. however, your most likely not gonna see a t5 connie.. it has been batted down since day one.. and then given then the whole idea got flushed down the toilet by cbs, they have stated that they did not want an endgame connie (refit or tos). they are saying that with some sort of crafting system you will be able to make it better, but i bet it will never hit a full t5 status.. it might come just shy of it..
and i am glad of that.. ambassador makes sense to be at t5, as it would still be in its refit cycle.. the excelsior does not, and neither does the connie or miranda..

Actually, I'm trying to get steam up for them to model up a constitution-like Ambassador variant with longer nacelles and Constitution-refit style canted pylons to get us as close to the Connie as we can for an actual fleet ship.
Considering that one out of every ten or twenty starfleet officers if flying around in a non-Starfleet vessel (Cat Carriers, Jem Hadar Ships, and even more puzzling, Tholian vessels) the whole, "CBS says no" argument does not apply.
I believe that both Cryptic and CBS were concerned about the issue right up until the point where they saw how much money the Jem Hadar red lottery boxes were making and then the whole argument went out the window (CBS cares about money more than canon), which is why they authorized the Breen ship giveaway.
At this point, I don't buy the argument at all. I would not be surprised to see a T-5 Constitution or even an NX of some sort eventually. It might be in a lock box.

I don't think it'll ever happen, but, I'll keep dreaming all the same.

But in the meantime, we can bug Cryptic to give us the 'close enough' version in the form of a near-constitution skin for the ambassador, which plays a lot like what the Enterprise-Prime flew like.
I'm still a huge fan of the Chris Madden entry for the Enterprise F. It strongly reminds me of a Connie without being one, and happily, since it was entered in the contest, Cryptic should have full rights to it.

And a 3/3/4 console statline.
