I would love to see some really good perks come out for Subscribers who have been playing this game for years.

The are 3 things on my personal wish list are:

1. A 1,400 day reward that allows all Bound To Character items to become Bound To Account.
2. A Dilithium Tribble which allows us to refine an additional 8,000 dilithium per day.
3. A D'Deredex Warbird which can be owned by UFP and KDF players.

Other long term players may have even better idea.

Subscriptions aren't the money makers any more. It's lockboxes and C-store packs. Sad to say, but I doubt additional effort would be put into persuading people to subscribe, particularly after the LTS sale, which seemed like a last-ditch attempt. Why give perks and features to subscribers when they can monetize them and even more people will buy them? (example, Mining claims, Jem upgrade).

    particularly after the LTS sale

Interesting to note that there's never been a LTS sale for CO, only STO. I don't know how much that says, but it's something to throw into the mix.

CO does however actually offer more to subscribers then STO does. You need to subscribe to have freeform characters, that or pay $50 per slot, and even then those slots don't offer everything you get with a subscription.

Not true -- I not only have a LTS to Champions Online, when I bought it I got access to the STO Beta... And if you're saying it's never been on sale (as in a price reduction) I believe they've had those as well.

IMO, the veteran reward system is finished. They could change it so every $15 worth of zen purchased and transferred to STO gives one veteran token. Of course, subscribers and lifers get one veteran token per month. Then they could have various items purchased by veteran tokens in a veteran store. So a piece of a costume could be worth 1 token and a ship could be worth 12 tokens. The current veteran rewards are given out as regular veteran rewards for subscribers and lifers, but F2Pers that have spent enough $ on Zen can purchase the veteran rewards. For example, spending $200 on Zen could get a F2Per the Chimera and its KDF counterpart for their account.

It was never reduced in price like it was for STO. It was cheaper when it first came out, only $200 vs the $300 it is now. But after they changed it to $300 it's never come down in price. There was actually a bit of a heated discussion about that on the CO boards the last time they offered a sale of the STO LTS.

The entire point of this thread was for people to post "wish list" items for veteran rewards but as usual we have folks poo pooing ideas instead of offering any of their own.

Try to avoid the endless forum negativity and go positive with some cool ideas. Granted none of these will probably ever happen, but it is nice to offer ideas anyway.

The thing is that any veteran reward would be automatically given to lifers so it doesn't matter if it is 1500, 2000, or 5000 days. This means that any veteran reward after 1000 days is effectively a lifer perk since if any subscriber that is eligible for them, then they are insane. Therefore only future vet rewards under 800 day would be considered as a veteran reward since that is about when F2P came out. So the only options for the devs is to completely change the veteran system so more players like F2Pers can get the benefits or add future rewards like creating 50,150,250, etc vet rewards. Either way more players would get benefits from the change to the veteran reward system.

Might as well wish on a star. The devs had said there isn't any more beyond the 1000 days.

I believe they said that they would add veteran rewards to the current rewards like 100, 200, 300, etc. before they add rewards past 1000 days. Might be before the huge forum change where everything was named as Archived Post.

A good idea for a veteran reward would be inventory tabs where your inventory tab has the same amount of inventory slots as your current inventory. So twice the inventory and allows for better organization of pets, crafting materials, commodities, etc.

The existence of a lifetime subscript is a bit of an oddity, but then that's the decision that Cryptic made; in exchange for getting all subscriber perks forever, Cryptic got more money up-front. While they will definitely benefit from any new subscriber content (which isn't a bad thing) I think the way lifers fit into things should be ignored; yes they'll get stuff instantly, but then they paid to, so who cares?

I would definitely like to see more subscriber perks; what some people forget in the subscriber versus free comparisons is that subscribers are more likely to pay more money over time. While they may get more content from their ZEN stipend into the bargain, it's not like them having unlocked a ship actually costs Cryptic anything in real terms, as it's just bytes on a computer. An account with max bank, inventory, ship and officer slots on a huge set of characters is still going to barely cause a dent in the storage capacity of the servers. The only real costs are the hardware to handle everyone online (which everyone uses, including free players who never spend a penny, but which are generally very cheap for a company) and development costs, after which any new paid-for content is practically pure profit. Besides which subscribers are paying a reliable income to Cryptic for as long as they're subscribed, while free to play players are more likely to not buy something than to do-so, as they need to really justify it to themselves first; a subscriber by comparison gets a stipend, which can tempt them to either pay for a small amount of extra ZEN to get an item they might not otherwise have considered, or stay subscribed for longer so that their next stipend will cover it. While I've no doubt that there are more free to play players making the odd micropayment, competitive subscriptions can still make a good amount of money, and reliably.

My biggest wish list item for subscribers would be the ability to buy things from lock-boxes and the lobi store directly for reasonable prices. Lockboxes are fine for free players who are willing to take the random chance, but it's a bit insulting to make your subscribers go through the same thing, especially if they want to get a specific ship or item. I would buy a month's subscription in a heart-beat if it meant I could buy things from the Lobi store directly without the need to get a heap of Lobi crystals; just let me throw Dilithium and/or ZEN at it and that subscription has paid for itself in my eyes, even though I would most likely have actually paid more money as a result!

Subscribers shouldn't have anything that functions as a clear advantage, but eliminating grind/randomness to get the same equipment when you want is pretty much the whole point of the micro-payments model in the first place, so let the subscribers take this a bit further for even more convenience, and those subscriptions become a lot more desirable. Plus they'd still be paying Dilithium and/or ZEN anyway, so that's money for convenience, plus the subscription fee that enables it, not a shabby deal for Cryptic.

For example; I would happily pay actual money to get the items of the Temporal Warfare set, but I'm not using Lobi crystals to do it as its just not worth it, and as a result that's custom lost. Some people might be happy to grind lock boxes if they want some of the other goodies, but I'm not really bothered and so master keys are not something I'm going to buy just to get a measly 4-10 Lobi for 125 ZEN. But if I could pay to bypass the lockboxes then I would do-so in an instant if it meant I could get the Temporal Warfare set for a fair price in ZEN/Dilithium.
