    LOL, you realy think this....
It was a veteran ship because you needed to be a 1000 day vet in the game, thats where the name came from.

yes its a 1000 day old ship. it should be equal to the original endgame ships

Unless you have that veteran Monicker I don't want to hear about it.

I am a veteran, believe it or not, for some reason the forum title doesn't work with this account. I've been here since beta, and you know what, I believe I've gotten my money's worth. My subscription paid for itself nearly a year and a half ago, long before STO went F2P.

You and I have completely different philosophies. You believe the money you spend entitles you to be better than the people who don't spend money. You want pay to win. I don't, because I think Pay to win, in the sense you clearly want, devalues the game even more.

Your conception of "balance" and "fairness" is simplistic and childish. Balance is giving folks an equal chance to perform, not making everything the same. If you paid money for a Fleet-level ship, or a C-store ship, then certainly, the quality should be worth it, but to automatically be better, regardless of skill or effort or time spent? No, thanks.

It's fair to want your money to be "worth something", but clearly your conception of what's worth money is different. I don't know when you bought your LTS. For folks that bought theirs recently, when Cryptic announced that buying an LTS automatically unlocks all the vet rewards instead of having to wait 1000 days, I can see why they'd feel "ripped off". I'm not in that situation, and in the end it didn't apply to me. If that's your circumstances, well, you're just SOL.

And if you did buy an LTS just to get those rewards and feel ripped off, I just pity you, and hope that whatever game you play next chooses not to kowtow to your wishes, because it will be worse off for everyone else if it does.

The War Z people would love you.

aka an old ship, that should not be on par, with ships of today, that have the technical superiority

Yes the people playing have given long service to the game, Veteran has nothing to do with the ship. It should have 10 console slots.

This is quoted directly from Cryptic studios dev blog:

Starfleet Corps of Engineers (SCE) has been working on a special new destroyer class starship, designed for high-level combat situations. The project was so secret that access to the Utopia Planitia shipyard was restricted for months while the project was completed. Now, Starfleet Command decided to offer the ships to its most experienced captains.

So its a new ship, newly designed for experienced captains, it should have 10 consoles.

Veterans refer to the captain, not the ship. Quoting the dictionary just gives you +1 in geekness.

they have been working on it forever, so it is an old design. they cant put anymore into it, because the base design is so old, that even the stuff in it, should tear it apart, so it should be nerfed, not buffed, its complete nonsense to have it as is

It's supposed to be a perk. Not a god-ship. So it's fine as is.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once. B)

    BranFlakes could sort this out.

But I will say no this ship isnt old. Infact its at least as new as rhe oddy since if oyu want to go rp on this the devolopment time for the oddy should have been much longer than that of a chimera.

The bug ships had a back story of being temporaly displaced versions from the dominion war so the newest would still be more than 30 years old.

Really the "it's too old why is it effective" argument is a silly one to begin with.

And its the veteran reward ship, not the reward veteran ship. In the first context it is the reward for being a veteran, in the second the reward is a veteran.

Reading comprehension is more useful than a word definition any day.

Besides that they are probably saving that 10th slot for the fleet version.

Clear attempt at trolling and failing miserably at that :D

Offer a more solid argument than "old ship", "vets are old people", and quoting the dictionary.

Clearly you're incapable of participating in a coherent discussion.

Fleet version is most likely comming. You will need a T5 shipyard for it though.

The current version is fine, but a Fleet version would be awesome and worth using compared to existing Fleet/Lockbox ships.
