New Ship Suggestion

Engineer Level 50 and ready to trade out my assault cruiser for something new. I stf/pve/pvp haven't started the lvl 50 missions yet. Read on another post that VA is supposed to get a token but dont have one.

Vice Admirals don't get a free ship. To get a better cruiser than the Assault Cruiser you need to either buy a Z-Store Ship like the Odyssey or Dreadnought Cruiser, or get one of the Fleet Cruisers from a Fleet with a sufficient shipyard. The Fleet Assault Cruiser needs a Tier 5 shipyard.

There are also Lockbox Ships that are pretty good, but they cost lots of credits. The Galor and D'Kora are both popular Cruisers. Or you could get lucky and win one by opening a lockbox, but know the odds are against you.

VA used to get a token back before the game went F2P, you may still get one with a gold account, or you may not, I don't know. As it is, either stick with the Assault Cruiser or pick up a Mirror Star Cruiser from the exchange if you want something a little different, but either way you'll quickly realize that endgame content like STFs is a lot different from the episodes, and a lot harder. I can pretty much guarantee that you have an enormous amount to learn about your ship if you haven't started in on it yet, simply because there's so little need for knowledge before this point.

I think the free VA token is a Lifetimer bonus. Or a 600-day veteran bonus. Can't remember which.

Also, we need more info before we recommend anything. What are you looking to try? What have you tried in the past? How much are you willing to spend (if anything)?

Thanks I'm a noob wasn't sure what info was needed. I've stuck to cruisers since the beginning. Being a first time player I figured cruisers were well balanced enough to get used to the game with. Constitution-Heavy Cruiser-Galaxy-Assault Cruiser. I have looked over the Oddy cruisers which look like a good choice. I am able to buy just one or the pack if it is worth it. Although I am an Engineer i tend to play like a tactical charging in. Vesta look nice as well but seem to be a science sided class

for a complete change of pace, grab a mirror universe patrol escort off of the exchange for around 120k EC. loads of fun!

Spend the 50 for the Zen, and get yourself the Vesta, you get 3 ships, and trust me, you won't be sorry. I'm also an Engineer and have flown cruisers and science (Advanced Retrofit Explorer...in short, Nebula Class), and I loved them. Nebula class was my fav, then I got the free cruiser version of the Oddy. Nice ship, hard hitting, but have to say my new fav, is the Vesta...you can do so much with it, it's crazy. One of them even has 5 science slots. Trust me, you won't regret it.
