assault cruiser skin question

I read in a archived thread that skins within the same shiptype can be used on different tiers, can someone confirm this pls, asking specifically if you can use the mirror assault cruiser skin on the assault cruiser refit (regent), ty.

While you can use skins on different tiers of ship as long as they use the same models.

But because of the way the mirror ships work, you'd have to use a mirror star cruiser skin on an non-mirror assault cruiser.

I think your saying you have to own the mirror varient with the prime star cruiser skin, the one called "Mirror Assault Cruiser" to then use it on the Assault Cruiser Refit, which is baseically what i said, so your saying yes to me then, ty (i think..)

No, I'm saying you'd have to own the Mirror Universe Star Cruiser to use it's skin on the Assault Cruiser Refit, as those are the ships that share the same model.

You could only use the Mirror Universe Assault Cruiser skin on a Prime Universe Star Cruiser.

The Mirror Star Cruiser has the Prime Assault Cruiser's model.
The Mirror Assault Cruiser has the Prime Star Cruiser's model.

If you want to use a mirror skin on the prime Assault Cruiser, you will need to get the Mirror Star Cruiser to receive the skin.
