visable body armor

Since i started playing my gorn science officer i am surprised that you can't see the high tech
like you do on federation officers (except when you wear a EV suit) or the class kits so i am suggesting that making the high tech armor visible on all kdf characters.

What do you say STO community?

Hopefully I can post this before all the "old time" star trek fans come in saying how they want all armors to be removed from the game.

I never play a kdf character...but I don't see why not...unless it has something to do with it not working for the body type.

    The plastic pajamas??

    Dear lord, no.

Like the KDF don't have enough problems - not seeing a bunch of Klingons and Orions (and Gorn) running around in those hideous outfits is a blessing.

Well we do get customizable armor style clothing options on the tailor by default, something Feds don't get. If you don't like any of the current armor styles at the tailor you can unlock the Honor Guard or Omega Set armor visuals.

On the one hand...I usually turn off the visuals because I find their looks overbearing, comic-like and not fitting the Trek universe in the slightest (some of the kits look more like something ouf ot Ghost Busters).
Their lights also run contrary to common sense, which is to not be a walking light bulb that practically shouts "Look! Here I am! Shoot me!"

However if the kits were to look on the KDF side like they did in the movies

(look at the leather bag/box that contains Kruge's tricorder)

meaning more simplistic and actually practical...well that would be great.

i agree with the masses, armor (the regular 'enable visuales' armor, is HIDEOUS!) so no to that for me :p

Though kdf kits would be interesting...

While I would like the option, the feet need to be optional; none of the boots in the game would actually fit properly-sized Gorn feet.

At present, if you want a high-tech armor visual, you'll need to get the Omega set and use those visuals, like so:
