Reaching OMEGA Reputation experience Awesome or NOT!!

zztopperszztoppers Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Well I finally got there. I reached tier 5 in the Omega reputation system. I had the MACO MK12 Shields already. So I had to buy the engines and deflector both MK12. I spent 34000 dilithium on each. among some other high costs. As to be expected of course.

SO then I put in the set and look for the heavy graviton beam setting for my console. It is nowhere to be found. I am thinking a little glitchy. So I put it in and back out making sure I got the right items. Still nothing! So I take them out and log off and completely reboot my PC. I log on put them in and still nothing.

At this point I am thinking major glitch. So I go back to spacedock where another ship has the MK11 Maco set. SO I proceed to put in MK11 set. And sure enough right below hazard emitters is Heavy Graviton Beam. This is cool!

So I proceed to replace the MK11 with the MK12. I look for the Heavy Graviton Beam and still nothing.

I have the Chel Gret Breen ship.

So I proceeded to submit a bug report. And as normal this is going to take some time.

I am going to test this out on my other ships. But I am not hopeful and I only use the mostly on the character now.

Question is has anyone else had this problem with the MK12 Maco space set?

And or does your MK12 Maco space set have Heavy Graviton Beam array work and does it work with your breen ship?

At this time I am going to remove all my consoles and weapons. And see if I can trouble shoot this myself.

I am just very dissapointed after all that work I did to get to MK12 Omega Reputation system. The one thing I wanted does not work.

Major Bummer!

You have made sure that all the pieces are the MACO set and you haven't accidently got an Adapted MACO piece in there haven't you?

This would be my guess as well. You have a mis-matched set.

I am not sure what you mean by adapted MACO piece.

The set is as follows. I reached tier 5 Omega Rep. system. I had MACO MK12 Shields from the original Omega system before the Rep system. I bought the Engines and Deflector from the new rep system. This composes my MK12 set. I put the set in and out multiple times. all MK12 MACO shields engines and deflector.

I have never heard of this adapted MACO piece you speak of.???

So I did that rant and ticket for nothing?

There are actually two Omega and Two maco sets along with a new MK12 Borg set. Whooo thats cool.

    My apoligies for the rant!!

It is not the games fault, you just bought the wrong items.

There is a Maco set and an Adapted Maco set. None of the items in these sets can be mixed to get set powers.

It seems you probably have the Maco shield, and the Adapted Maco Engine/Delector. So you either have the choice of buying the missing parts of the Maco set (if you want the gaviton beam) or buy the Adapted Maco shield and stick with that set :)

The Adapted MACO set is an ADDITIONAL set. The regular MACO set still exists. You just need to scroll down your project list a little further to find it. It sounds like you need to run the projects to get the regular MACO deflector and engine, and you'll be good.

The heavy graviton beam still exists and is still obtainable.

In hind site they should make the old set first on the list.

I agree, the adapted set should be at the bottom, as its the last thing you really unlock.

Nope, MACO, ADAPTED MACO, and Omega. 3 total Mk XII sets. They're sorted alphabetically in the project list.

There is. But, it's only marginally better than the Mark Mk XI set -- so really not worth the dilithium and nowhere near as good as the MACO Mk XII sets.

You're better off that way. The MACO shield is good, the three piece bonus is garbage though and you can argue about the 2 piece bonus. The Adapted MACO engines are amazing though and it's worth taking the Adapted Deflector for the two piece bonus. Because Adapted two piece bonus is good too. Just don't go for the three piece because the bonus as well as the Adapted MACO shield are junk.

I was only focusing on the sets he mentioned. He was under the mistaken impression that there was an Adapted Omega Set, which there isn't. ;)

imho the only good thing about the Omega Reputation change is that people can finally complete the STFs, get all the SETs that they want, and finally be DONE with that old crappy bugged rererecycled content.

No need to go back if you don't want to.

And after a year of slapping Armek in the face with my Laser Bat'leth i really see no reason to do it anymore.

that is also the worst thing that could happen, that people can be DONE with Endgame content so easily, because at that moment it is no longer endgame content but something to check off the to do list, nothing that makes people come back.

completing the Tier 5 Rep is possible by only playing a short ISE every 2 days...
yah one can be really proud to display that Adapted Maco Armor on ones toon these days.

The old system rewarded persistence, the new system rewards patience.

I was under the impression that the Adapted MACO set did not unlock until you completed the MACO Mk XII set... I guess that applies only to the ground set!

Regarding the Borg Mk XII set -- It is quite good, but not worth the crafting price. Its bonus numbers are so close to Mk XI that it is difficult to detect any improvement at all. However, the Borg set is quite powerful (dual regen procs!) and stacks up well against MACO in Season7 because of the Cutting Beam + Tractor beam combo. Even post-nerf, I am still using it to shred targets once I get an open shield facing.

Good point, except you forgot one thing. The new system rewards patience at a high dilithium and ec cost lol.
