The Gorn Ruin Everything...No Clothing

captrott1captrott1 Member Posts: 113 Arc User
So, I noticed that with the new Dominion Lockbox, the Jem'hadar armor will be visible on Federation characters. But yet again, these things do not seem to be allowed on the KDF side. I can only assume that the Gorn with their unique body shape prevent the wide spread use of the cosmetic clothing on the KDF side as it would require work to put it in over there.

It would be nice if all of these cosmetic options that are available on the Federation side become available on the KDF side for the races of: Klingon, Orion, Lethean, Trill, and Alien. At the very least, these things should work for KDF Trill and Alien characters as they are no different from their Federation counterparts....

No, the winter jacket can be worn by Fed and KDF. There are different clothing options for the different KDF races, most noticable orions.

I suppose, since some players don't turn the visuals for armor and kits off, they like it or don't know it can, the factions will look the same. Turning visuals on/off for armor and kits for KDF is supported by me, once they have their own style. I don't want a universe were everybody has the same taylor.

Well gorn is the only one that can run around topless so it's not all unfair.

But jem hadar I don't know - when I factor in losing fast remodulation and have to pay 200-300 $ for the lobis.

Maybe if you can buy it on the exchange and it has enough dps to make up for having to reload for 4 seconds constantly, both of which I doubt but we'll see.

ps. the main thing that made me not go gorn was seeing how they kling homeworld gorn npcs are much taller than you are allowed which completely turned me off.
I don't want to walk around a minor gorn that defeats the whole purpose.

Ah, yes the Gorn must be the reason.
Let me guess: before the Gorn were revamped to their current shape they were also the reason...and they are also responsible for the snow outside my window...

I don't care what the reason for this decision is, it is unfair. Excluding KDF characters doesn't make any sense considering that they have only few costume options and need everything they can get to have at least a tiny bit variety between characters, else you always run into an army of clones when visiting Q'onos.

Armor visuals have NEVER worked on KDF, even before the Gorn were revamped. Not sure why.

They work for KHG/Omega sets, you don't even need the tailor anymore to see them on your character. Also there are several other possibilities in this game to offer visuals. Costumes unlocked by accolades for example. I think Cryptic is just lazy again and therefore concentrates solely on their beloved fed cashcows.

Aside from those, yes. I was pointing out that it has nothing to do with the Gorn revamp.

The Gorn are by far the worst race in the game and the easiest to kill. No personal shields, no body armor, they throw rocks instead of grenades for christ sake. Worst....Race....Ever!

    I will say this:

My Fed Gorn Bridge Officer can display costume visuals. If I put him in MACO or Omega Force gear and enable visuals, that's what he wears.
