Path of the Warrior

Evening all. I am wandering something. In The Path of the warrior missions we have some "Optional Objective" this is really misleading since since you have to do these to complete the missions. So I think that if a Dev reads this post they need to rework this mission to make it so that these "Optional Objectives" are truely "Optional".

    well when you first start out doing the sorties there really isnt a good reason to pick up Path of the Warrior...so really no reason to do the optionals....but once your max level when you DO pick up Path of the Warrior along with the 2 sorties and complete PotW you can net 2800 dilth....so yeah they are optionals...

    Just to clarify-
    Sortie Alpha can be completed without the optionals.
    Sortie Bravo can be completed without the optionals.
    Path of the Warrior requires you to complete Sortie Alpha and Bravo while achieving all the optionals.

    It is only in Path of the Warrior where the optionals are required, not Alpha and Bravo. But since the optionals are in Alpha and Bravo, it is worded the way that you see it.
    On second thought, that might not be that clear afterall...

    At max level its pretty much 4300 dilithium with both sorties + the daily unless its been changed although I usually use doffing for dilithium purposes. I do agree with the OP though there should be a guest blog on it. I know in my experience though most players have a hard time understanding what has to be done. Alpha sortie is pretty self explanatory hit jam sensors and then kill the target before they get their communications back up or else optional fails. In a nutshell always disable all the freighters you can first, kill their escorts, then beam out their cargo and yer done and usually attack transports do it that way starting with the lead pack and then rear pack, and then escorts and you can get out with their cargo before they ever have a chance of getting the 2nd escort to help them. The other ones just disable freghter, use engine battery + evasive to the next one, and repeat till all are disabled, clean up escorts, beam out cargo, destroy the parts of the station, kill the escort, and for bonus get the 7th and 8th freighter.

    Although kalferi system doesn't require you to do anything more than kill dry docked ships but freighters are up to the player to disable if they want.

    Overall though there should be a blog on this for any new players wanting to experience the KDF for what little it has/worth.

    Edit: If someone wanted me write a blog for this I would... Being that most of ppl who have done this as long as I have most likely have quit or just casually play kdf once in a blue moon now of days. Before there was dilithium I had acquired many kdf ships just by turning in emblems :)

    Hi all,
    I am trying to do the Path of the Warrior sorties in Pi Canis. I have the mission active as primary, but I can't get it to start/don't know how to start it. I went to the 6 systems listed but none allow me to go in them. I've read all I could find searching forums, and heard mention of finding Fed ships near the listed planets, however they are listed as 'Allies', even though they are Fed! I can't interact with them or start any of the sorties and am really frustrated . Can anyone tell what I'm doing wrong/not doing? I would really appreciate any help on this topic. Thanks very much!

    Hating myself for replying to thread necro, but do you have the Sortie Alpha & Bravo missions in addition to Path of the Warrior?
